Most Ugliest Mercedes Ever Produced?

Just me you're officially nuts! The W126 and W220 were some Mercedes' best designs ever. There is no way these vehicles are the ugliest Mercedes' ever produced, they aren't even in the running for such a title. The GL either. You may not like them, but they don't belong in this thread as it is currently titled.

Like I said before it is very easy to find pics of dirty, tired Mercedes' that are most unflattering and call the model in question ugly. It is just as easy to find very flattering pictures:

No way was the W220 ugly. Cheaply made, and unreliable during the first few years, but ugly it was not.

I won't even start on the W126, a classic design if there ever was one.

OMG JustMe!!! The W126, how dare you! I will fight to the death on that one!!!

Mercedes Benz designs of the past were very traditional and nondescript but can not be considered ugly! ESPECIALLY when you compare them with cars of the same time period!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder surely, but you must be objective and rational!

All Hail MB!!!!;)

Well, Im pretty much against old cars. Not many bimmers before 1990's that I like either. So maybe I'm nuts :D

Re: Most ugliest Mercedes Ever Produced

If you see the CLS in real life,it doesn't look remotely ugly.I sits so low and looks stunning especially in black.

Shocking, Just Me! Some of those 90's BMWs were gorgeous in their day. My favorite just might be the 5-Series from 1989-1995 and the 8-Series.

It's just one big, ugly tractor! :thumbdown

:t-cheers:

Me either. While not pretty, I don't find it to be ugly either. Its just too big and bulky for coupe IMO. That said with the right AMG wheels it looks the part on the street IMO.

funny that some of the most design praised MB´s are mentioned in this thread..
ppl really have DIFFRENT taste..

You know what, I used to hate the C140 when it was new, but now I don't think iit's ugly at all. Funny, that. :eusa_thin

The A8 D2 has the same effect on me: I hated it, but now I find it very classy and I like it a lot...
I still find the C140, if not ugly, at least unattractive and fat.

Concerning the W126, it is for me the most beautiful S-Class, which means the most beautiful luxury car of the past decades...Especially the C126 is a car I truly, deeply love.

The W210 begins to grow on me again.

Like all the old Mercedes E-Classes, once the new one is released they begin to look old, they are bought by careless people so they look awful, dirty, bad treated...When another new model appears, they begin to look good again, because they are less common, and they are better treated.

It used to be the same case with BMW 5-Series, but with the Bangle-look the new 5 does not look really like a fresher 5 but like another model, so it does not look that outdated, whereas the W211 clearly looks like a modernized W210.
In a few years the W210 will look good again. Even if it is not the best-looking E-Class ever.

The CLS is one of the most beautiful Mercedes ever....

As coolraoul and a few have said before.. the V-class is a horrible looking Mercedes. Not a single element of its exterior is designed to enhance the non existent aesthetic appeal of this car, and besides the star at the front, there is no design element that is from the traditional Mercedes passanger car history.

I forgot to mention that I really hate the rear end of the W140. Nothing attractive in it.

I agree that that van thing is not very attractive at all. But can you think of a van that really is? Purpose-built cars like vans/trucks/suvs have different appeal. If they were beautiful machines their purpose would be....?

On the topic of beautiful Mercedes how about this...
