F1 Mosley: Turbos to return to F1 in 2011

as far as i know you need to engage the clutch in first gear in fromula 1
in SMG we have a traditional manual but instead of having the user engaging the clutch with his food, a robot does it for you every tme you change gear
in tiptronic and other relative its a normal automativ with torque converter but with the option to move through gears althouth the gerbox computer doesn't allow you to do as pleased all the time to safeguard the box (look at it as in having P R N D 6 5 4 3 2 1)
dual clutch are like SMG's except that they have 2 clutches one for odd gears another for even which means at any time 2 gears are simultaneously engaged

f1 boxes are similar in operation to SMG's but they use more exotic materials

What edge does it bring a drive to operate the clutch manually for the 1st gear?
Wouldnt it be more efficent and fail proof if it was done like in SMG with a robot (automatically)

I think F1 should not switch to small capcity turbo engines because the current V8 engine formula is working well (the engines are very evenly matched) and the current crop of engines have great engine reliability courtesy to the 2-race engine longevity regulation.

Max the Spank wants to raise the "green" credentials of F1 but he has to think about what it will do to the spectacle of F1. Turbo technologies have improved a long way since the late 1980's but they make racing in the rain impossible. Look at Silverstone this year, cars were going off left right and centre and these cars have naturally aspirated V8 engines. To make things worse, the 2009 cars will have much less downforce.

I think the FIA should just see how the KERS system work out for three or four years before switching engine formulas.

Max Mosley should assume a caretaking mode in the final months of his office term. He should not and must not be allowed to initiate drastic changes. He should just go and do something about road safety and education. But he doesn't want to do shxtty stuffs like that. He wants to be in the limelight.......................He is a control freak and an attention whore rolled into one. He won't let go until the fat lady sings.
