G-Class Mercedes updates the G-Class for 30th birthday

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, colloquially known as the G-Wagon or G-Wagen (as an abbreviation of Geländewagen), is a four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Graz, Styria, Austria, and sold by Mercedes-Benz. Originally developed as a military off-roader, later more luxurious models were added to the line. In certain markets, it was sold under the Puch name as Puch G until 2000.
At the moment you can watch the pictures in the German web price list. My dealer gave me an internal sales info about MY 2010.Produced from september. It says new modified front seats from the new E class, upgraded vent seats and control panel of the seats, new steel ignition key, no more photocromatic exterior pass. mirror, new ambient light and chrom packet.New MB logo star in the wheel cover. My new G 500 cabrio MY 2010 will be produced in october, it has all options and paint, trim and leather designo.

Yep, saw the pics in the pricelist already - very small though. :D You definitely have to post pics of your car…

I briefly saw the cover of the new AMS posted somewhere, and it says that Mercedes will modifiy the front of the G-Class to adapt it to the new safety regulations... So big FL this time, but the PS they showed did respect the origial design of the G.

Maybe a new interior (with less W203 parts, the overall design however is quite nice but those parts are out of place) will be part of the update?

Anyway, I really want this car to stay in the line-up forever! I love it!

cool or ree, is the G-Class made in RHD? Too lazy to look any further than the UK website where the G isn't for sale.

This car would be fantastic in Africa.

I drove the 2010 G55 my verdict is..

The seats are fantastic gives a bit much smoother ride to the well know G 55 rough ride. An improvement to the overall ride.. The seat are bit wider and more comfy than the old G55 seats.. but the seats adjustments are still the same.

The ambience lights are a nice touch to the interior and leather dashboard is step forward gives the care bit more luxurious feel on the inside..

I heard that there are going to be an LED lights for the G55 tail lamps and front fog lights.

No, MB stop making RHD G Class years ago.
Only AMG makes a RHD version, so you have to buy the 55 AMG.

The G returns to Britain: :eusa_clap
