EQC Mercedes EQC 400 Squeaking / Whistling Noise

The Mercedes-Benz EQC (N293) is a battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV produced by Mercedes-Benz from 2019 to 2023—though its discontinuation only came to light in 2024. It is the first member of the battery electric Mercedes EQ family.

Hi,
My Mercedes EQC 400 is not even a year old with only 10,000km on it. There is a very annoying squeaking / whistling that happens at slow speeds. It started only happening when turning to the right and usually when going slightly uphill. However as you will see from the YouTube video, its now happening even when going straight and at times when turning left.

The video was taken shortly after the car started and had been parked for a good 10 hours beforehand.

The dealership has tried fixing it 3 times now but to be honest, nothing has been replaced...only taken apart and put back together after some cleaning/lubricant and slight adjustments. It's also not clear from which wheel this is coming from. The assumption is that it is brake related but nobody has any idea what it might be exactly.

Sounds like too much brakedust. Re-gen dust???
Could be related to suspension too, or something else rubbing onto something in the car itself.

Drive it to your nearest Lexus dealer and trade the EQC for a NX 350h, which has no squeaks, no whistles and no range anxiety.

Sorry not sure ehat the fault is but which country ot city is this its beautiful

Sounds like it is something connected with the rotation of the wheel. Have they checked if the rim is not touching some component, like the protective shield of the disk brake? Look for marks on the rim.

Hey mate, thank you for posting that clip,

I have the exact same sound coming from our W213 E 450.

It is annoying because it only occurs once the car is properly warned up and driven for 30 min or so.
