T-Class/Citan Mercedes citan 111 DPF bracket keeps breaking

The Mercedes-Benz Citan is a panel van and leisure activity vehicle introduced as a badge-engineered variant of the Renault Kangoo in 2012 and marketed by Mercedes-Benz as the successor to the Vaneo compact MPV. In the Mercedes-Benz van lineup, the Citan is the smallest model offered, alongside the mid-size V-Class (aka Viano, Vito, and EQV) and the large Sprinter.

Hi I'm hoping there is someone clever out there that can solve the problem of the DPF Bracket breaking its happened 4 times now the last 2 ,3 weeks apart each time being replaced with genuine parts thankfully under warranty but I'm still losing time and money sorting it out .
It's only the end of the bracket that breaks off where it reduces to approximately 10mm.
I had considered putting a line of weld to the underside at the point of break to reinforce ,would appreciate anybody's comments or suggestions

hi thanks for your reply but don't know how to attach photo to this email
It's quite easy. You use the "Upload a File" button which is located next to the "Post Reply" button. This will open a file explorer window, in which you will find the photo, where it is saved on your computer.

Or you can e-mail me the photographs and I'll post them for you.

:)
