Over the course of the past few years, I see several well-spec'd Audi etron GTs with local registration plates in the area. An acquaintance of mine, who I haven't seen for quite a while, has-or maybe at least "had"- one as well. It will be interesting to see whether AMG can capture a customer or two from their ranks.

I rarely see the Audi Teton but see the Taycan daily! Obviously the Taycan rode the huge wave of super generous government EV subsidies and tax breaks.

Most importantly if benefitted from people buying one or several just to get an allocation for a Porsche GT model.

It doesn't look that bad. But really all they had to do was copy the coupe front end and it'd have looked a lot better.

I hope this idea of €270k is wrong, because even with healthy lease/company car incentives, nobody will buy it.

If they just want to keep it a low volume test exercise, then fine I guess.

This is a car they designed in 2020 with the "electric only" concept in mind. They must be very disappointed that they couldn't put a V8 in it. I don't think it will be produced for a long time.

Taycans are most certainly faaar more plentiful. In the closer the vicinity of the big regional urban area, the more plentiful they become. Especially the Sport Turismo has made quite an impact, it seems.

I dont think it looks that bad, this picture is not showing the full details of the grill design and the surfacing as its a white car and the quality of the pic is not clear. Wait till we see better quality pics and the cars in different colours and it will look a whole lot better.

Because it was produced at the right time. It sold very well in its first 3 years after its release. That's why it's so common on the streets. Sales are currently at an all time low.

This is what the GLC and C electric would have looked like if they hadn't undergone a last-minute design change. They narrowly escaped a major disaster. Thank God the GT is the last car we'll see with this design template.

This is probably spot on. I think they didn't/couldn't do the restyling here so this car has to live with the old face. Doesn't look good imho.

All things considered, the new registration figures for the Taycan in Europe's German-language region (aka "DACH") have not been all that dismal. In April 2026, Taycan registrations lagged those of the German-brand vehicles that they are statistically compared to, BMW 7er+i7 and M-B S-Class+EQS. But the gap does not represent the "not sellable" narratives so often presented in the digital media. Add the Taycan's J1.2 sibling, the Audi etron GT, and the registration figures are quite closely matched.

In the latest video of the board's acceptance test drive, Ola Källenius described the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé as the best combustion engine car we've ever built. He particularly likes the S+ mode with its authentic V8 sound and virtual gearbox.

Yeah rrright 🤣🤣🤣

What else should I say :t-drive:
