Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
Bro! When I am stressed in the traffic I am focusing on the road and don't want a slideshow of my kids who I had to scream at to get put of the home.

"If you have a seamless screen of roughly a metre with ultra-high resolution and you put wallpapers on it, you put pictures of your kids on it, it means you can individualise the interior not only on the hardware side but also on the software side.”

I haven't even changed the wallpaper on my work computer in years. Changing wallpaper won't allow me to change air vent direction faster.

"With the wallpapers offered in the new C-Class infotainment, you can really create your own atmosphere. We have to make sure the sophistication we have when it comes to hardware craftsmanship is somehow carried over [to the digital side"

Big change over the decades.

Yeah thank you for that.(y)

All I can say in comparison is WTF.

They literally F***ed the line up up, sorry for my strong words.

the current line up is only a shadow of his former self.

I mean the CLE exists because people wanted the E coupe to be sportier and the C coupe to be bigger.

I do think it's sad they consolidated so much, but having so many body shapes when everyone just wants a crossover or a sports car, is just the reality of the car market these days.

The problem of the CLE is the C-Class interior, which is far inferior to the E-Class interior.

It’s indeed surprisingly spacious, but there are no heated seats in the back ( which the E had) and there’s no Manufaktur full leather package.

Otherwise merging C and E was a logical move.

But I’d personally simply cancel the C and move on with the E.

It’s a pity that there wasn’t a E63 A238 but I guess they were afraid that it might become too close to the S.

Overall I’m happy that they still build a 4 seater convertible with proper engines.

Mercedes will soon open orders for the GLC 250 EQ and GLC 300 4matic models. Both models will use a 1.6 cm thinner battery. The 85 kWh energy capacity is a familiar feature from the CLA and GLB models.

In these variants, the charging power has been reduced from 330 kW (GLC 400 4matic) to 320 kW. However, the charging time remains the same at 22 minutes (for the 10-80% charging range).

The GLC 250 EQ will deliver 354 horsepower to the rear axle and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.2 seconds. The Long Range Version will have a range of approximately 665 km. It is expected to start at around €64,000.

The GLC 300 4matic also uses an 85 kWh battery but produces 422 horsepower. The acceleration is expected to be around 4.9 seconds. With the Long Range package, we expect a range of 645 km. The price is projected to be around €68,300.

The two new versions are expected to be available for order from June 2026 and delivered to customers towards the end of 2026.

By the end of 2026, in addition to the base version of the 313 hp GLC 200 EQ equipped with a 64 kWh LFP battery, the rear-wheel-drive GLC 300+ EQ model with 367 hp and a range of 735 km will also be launched.

I’m waiting to see the AMG version. The GLC 300 would make a nice entry model here in the USA.

Agree totally. A more upscale interior and some access to manufaktur level customization would make it even more popular. The current color palette is dull asf. Where are the blue, gray, brown, tan top options and leather colors? That new beach brown in the S would be a knockout on the CLE especially in the Cabrio.

Personally i think Mercedes should offer access to Manufaktur on anything they make for a price or within reason. You should be able to get even a CLE or CLA in an exterior color you want. I get that it isn’t feasible to offer all the leather options on a CLA or A-Class or GLA.

After reading that, the only thing left to do is to reintroduce the SL680 with the V12. The GLS should have had a V12 version too imo.

I fully agree with you.

There are only 2 non dull colors on the CLE Patagonia red and starling blue ( and may be sun yellow), everything else is really dull.

There’s no beige Nappa leather, you can choose only between brown and black.

That’s ridiculous.

Yes the Maybach versions of the GLS and SL need the V12, the V8 drives lovely but it’s too nervous and sporty.
