Leylandi's ban is temporary. Effectively he has to wait for his two oldest warning points to expire before he can come back. If we had cause to believe Dopebouy was an alternate account of Leylandi, that would be unfortunate for Dopebouy as it would likely mean a perma ban with no warning for both accounts.

In the mean time @Dopebouy just follow the rules and behave, and to everyone else here that wants to make him or Leylandi the topic of discussion, don't - it causes more **** than it solves. The thread is for what's coming next from Mercedes, not which members people do or don't like.

Regarding the new GT 4D, my dealer confirmed me a few days ago that none of the current GT4D customers pre ordered the new one, none of his VIP customers wants to preorder one either.

It’s a Deja vu like with the C63SE.

This car is DOA, at least in my country.

I get it that Mercedes is trying to hop along with the EV horsepower wars & showcase their tech also.

But such cars don’t sell, EVs don’t sell upmarket.

Why don’t they try saving saving it by spending just a bit of R&D by putting that New V8 in there ? This car is not gonna make it.

If the Taycan Turbo GT failed, this car also doesn’t got a shot. Especially if a 1500hp EV Xiaomi is $80k

Interesting. It should actually have been released in 2020, and now be nearing the end of its cycle, not to be replaced by a successor.

A shame how all this went. I don't even think it's entirely the fault of MB here. Taking so long for a new car to release kind of is their fault tho. They must have a good look and find ways to be quicker without neglecting quality. It's the only way to stay relevant in the EV space when competing with the Chinese tech.

I have this feeling you might be right with the DOA part. If the Taycan didn't make it, this Benz sure as hell won't either.

Just a bit of R&D? Just a bit would basically mean starting all over from scratch. This EV only platform likely doesn't even have a tunnel for a driveline.
Listen, I love your V8 enthusiasm as much as the next guy, but we've got to keep it real.
