I like those new larger headlights with the 2 stars vertical, suits this car better than the old lights. The larger grill also looks better and bridges it closer to the S-class.

I would be more interested to see it with a classic grill. Lets see if they will bring out 2 grill choices like the VLE.

We had an already large enough grille on the facelift, and this one is and AMG line, if we compare to the current AMG line, the current looks much more premium:

The off centered star on the new looks weird, the lights everywhere are cheapish, there will be tacky low quality chrome everywhere, and while the star signature in the lights might look good, the general shape of the lights looks overly bulky, and ugly.

Agree 100%. This FL ruins the front end of the car, which was perfectly fine.

The FL looks the front look like a Vito or something. The ruggedness is gone, and that's not good.

Thanks for posting the pic of the FL AMG spec with new larger grill. Yes you right this grill design does look better than the new model. I hope that non AMG models will have classic grills

The only thing they needed to change. Instead they pick the good parts to mess with.....

At this point the bumper design is going to become the second most iconic design element after the three-pointed star.

It's not a problem for you when BMW uses Opel-style panels. I guess you're right to take refuge in bumpers. Looking at the last 20 years, BMW has created designs that deviate more from its brand identity. This should be encouraging for you, but I think differently.
