But on the iX3 there’s not even a adaptive suspension available.

Adds weight, adds complications but most of all.........it's not needed because the base chassis is utterly wonderful

Here we go, already making claims about a better car before the first comparison has happened. Based on looks. Gotta love it.

My prediction will be a near total victory for the BMW, with one or two being won by Mercedes out of every ten reviews.

But I guess it's about time to dust off the Internal Combustion section here......this is going to be hardcore, and I am already training my fingertips

Every passive suspension is a compromise, therefore I always prefer adaptive suspensions.

Sales wise the iX3 will sell better because of the higher incentives, and the better leasing rates.

The comparison tests will be very tight, I expect the GLC to win without the cost chapter. The iX3 is the better value for money especially with the much higher discounts you can get from BMW.

I am not worried about the ICE, I’d still always prefer a 3L Diesel engined X3 or GLC to the EVs.

Let’s see what will happen.

It just looks like a classic crossover. Smart, simple. It looks good, but not striking.
And tbh, for a lot of people, that does just fine.

I quite like the way it looks. Let's see if the platform lives up to expectation.
Agreed. That was my main complaint as well. There’s nothing really new besides that grille. This black example also hides those hideous taillights, which helps a lot. I also find the GLC to be spec sensitive, whereas iX3 looks good regardless of the spec imo.
Overall it’s a good looking vehicle with really nice proportions and all, but just not exciting. And again like you said, that’s perfectly fine with most people.

The ironic dichotomy of Mercedes design is the quiet luxury of the exterior design, with the overbearing tech in the interior. They need to bring everything into line, and by that I mean do quiet luxury inside and out.
