Phenomenal !!😍
They just need an option that removes the third screen though, it’s ruining the interior

Another poor decision choice. Why won’t they put that new V8 in this thing? it’s supposed to continue the CLS63/GT63 lineage.

This thing was approved about 5 years ago now and is on an electric-only platform. Just dropping a V8 in it isn’t remotely simple or quick to do. You could argue they should’ve cancelled the car altogether, but there is no “just put a V8 in it”.

Even still, its a bad idea to cancel it.
It can effectively be used as a testbed for AMG and Mercedes-YASA's electric motor, battery and powertrain technologies, that will eventually filter down to their lower end models.

In this context, it's at least an idea worth considering.

You could test all of that in prototypes without putting them on sale (as they generally do) and save yourself the possibility of losing a billion dollars by launching it, when everything indicates that you will lose money and the failure rate is much higher than the success rate.

Wow this interior design is pretty cool for a Mercedes sports saloon. Its the first time I seen Mercedes AMG use a driver centric center console design, which has a terrific looking carbon fiber trim with metallic arm over the vents. Love the backlit metallic switches and also the awesome speaker covers and red stitched diamond pattern on the door cards. There is no cheap cost cutting in this interior!

I dont think this FL will do anything to improve the sales. The EQS should be canned, but Mercedes want to save some face to show they at least have some EV in the upper saloon class.
I guess they figure some sales in the segment is better than no sales.

And most importantly it looks like quality.

I think generally the screens are my own complaint. They look a lot cheaper than the rest of the interior. Just slightly smarter housing for it would do a lot of work.

Everything else looks amazing. Hopefully the metal is actually metal.

Should BMW cancel the i3M?

Why is it worth considering?
I can almost guarantee that BMW considered that option at some point, but so far (at this moment), the segment that has proven to be a failure is precisely that of super sports/super expensive EVs. The iM3 isn't that; it's in a mid-range segment that presents itself as an intriguing prospect, but for now, its competitors (the few that exist) are doing well. We'll have to see, since it could also fail.

In any case, although I think this AMG GT EV it's a financial mistake, as a passionate enthusiast, I'd love to see it materialize, regardless of the results.

I don’t understand the enthusiasm about the interior of the AMG GT 4 door. An all screen dashboard, a silly glass roof, open cupholders and a non-leathered airbag cap on the steering wheel. The metallic looking parts, I’d first like to touch and feel before judgement.
