Decent render, but again doesn't look like a Mercedes. I don't expect anything great out of this car's design. The EV tech will be featured more than it's design, IMO.

In essence, not really a "bad thing" at all:

Correct that lack of "prestige clearance", and the Arteon is a pretty smart looking, modern automobile.

It would be fun to see what they discarded; it must have been as bad or worst as the EQS/EQE front. In 15 years, perhaps some archive photo or drawing will surface, unless the order was "destroy the mules, burn all the photos" when they realized how wrong they were.

Exactly. I was not able to connect the dots but the CC and Arteon are great examples.

It was a bit more than that but the comparisons would've been made, I have no doubt. The original front end made for a more cohesive design imo, but as my spouse would say..."cohesively...UGLY!"
