The current engine already reaches up to 639 hp. The Black Series was 730 hp. I think they should talk about a new upper limit. We already know it will be at least 600 hp.

I may be mistaken, but the Black series engine was not "compatible" with the new European standards (Euro 7), was it?

I guess with the BS, they wanted faster revs/throttle response which flat plane enables.

But what is particularly sad are these embarrassing Chinese companies who didn't even exist when the W222 was in production. Please. Zero history, zero shared competition, utterly meaningless.

You need to be wary of the Chinese companies. Embrace their competition because it should spur legacy brands to be better.

China doesn't care if most of them don't survive. Think about all the car companies that don't exist now, compared to what we had in the 70s.
China only cares that maybe a handful survive, and those handful can become juggernauts in the industry. They're not interested in propping up failures.
