Agreed. I also can’t tell if the grille is nice or downright horrible. I still can’t get used to it.

They'll no doubt refine the grille in future iterations.

Gotta admit, that big grille makes it much more interesting to look at. With smaller grille and different taillights it looks so boring.

IMHO, this looks more cohesive than the what is featured on the "real" series production GLC EQ. Certainly, it is hardly "bold" and not very exciting. But, to me, it simply blends far better and hence makes the vehicle more appealing. Obviously, I personally find the neo-retro, faux radiator grill shield and that slab of a rear lightbar unit on the real vehicle contrived. Simply my personal take.

Proportion is about the harmony of dimensions and shapes, not size. You need to know that. Mercedes' grille doesn't clash with the overall design. Despite its size, it doesn't look disproportionate. BMW, on the other hand, shoves its huge nose in our faces.

I am imagining that having aligned the upper edges of the kidneys with the headlamps rather than the DRLs could have significantly improved the design.

That GLB’s grille looks totally proportionate, it’s just the execution of the graphics that make it look odd. GLC, on the other hand, looks forced. As it was stated before, that huge grille was an afterthought, and it shows.
