I think he means what is designed out for 10 years won't be completed manufacturing for 15 years.Wow! Here is Australia a decade is only 10 years.

Wow! Here is Australia a decade is only 10 years.
He said the next decade. Which I assumed to be til the end of this one and then the next decade. Guess he meant the next decade from now on, which still doesn't change my initial comment. The next decade is NOT set.
Yeah I mean he's not just going to go out to the media and say "yeah these cars f#cking suck, and are ugly as sin".You guys take me too seriously lol.
I read his interview from 2022 posted further up in the thread. He spoke about how fantastic the EQE and EQS were. Prior to their market failures ofcourse. But LORD help us!

Sometimes its a case of buttering the appropriate bread until its your time to shine. My mummy told me it's better to say nothing, rather than lie.
If you read the interview, he wasn't asked to comment on those models. He chose to. He could have referenced other models in his discussion. He was there alongside Gordon when these cars were signed off and he probably has been in step with much of Gordon's philosophy for a while now. This is Mercedes. The replacement designer has been groomed alongside the outgoing one, and they are not about to start any sort of BMW design revolution.
That said Gordon stepped up when Pfeiffer was clearly out of steam, but he stood and cheered alongside him right up to that point, while they delivered some pretty questionable designs. Perhaps this is the case again, and Baudy will be the breath of fresh air Mercedes needs for their EV approach. Will we see the first of this in the new AMG Coupe and SUV next year?
Overall Wagoner has done a fab job with the brand. I am a fan of what he's done with the A class and introducing a line of entry level Mercs that arent simply sclass design language squeezed into a fwd hatchback or sedan form factor. As is the case with many chief designers, "hits" and "misses" are not uncommon. And, of course, there is always some sort of intervention by corporate, non-designer, suits.
But whatever, whether by his own choice or not, it is time for Herr Wagener to seek another environment. It will benefit him as well as Mercedes-Benz.

Looking forward to the new design philosophy, understated luxury. Squarer designs, only 3 stars on the car, one on the front, one on the back and one on the steering wheel. More leather, solid aluminium buttons, engineering things to feel nice to the touch. Is this possible ? I hope so.No it's the opposite now, the made the S class look like an A class.
Worst MB head of design ever. Zero creativity and MB identity completely lost.
I truly hope this is the turning point toward more traditional angular designs and the end of the grille that belongs on an SL but is on every f#cking car now.
I wouldn’t count on it.Looking forward to the new design philosophy, understated luxury. Squarer designs, only 3 stars on the car, one on the front, one on the back and one on the steering wheel. There’s this video of an IG creator counting every Maybach logo on the SL, and there was more than thousand of themLooking forward to the new design philosophy, understated luxury.
