Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

That new front end is a caricature, completely out of place, the rest is a dubious, minimal evolution—more of the same and then they wonder why sales keep falling..

All I’m seeing is an over-designed car with tacky details. I thought I would get used to the design but it just keeps getting worse. What an ugly duckling.
It’s also pretty pricey at almost €70-75k for a GLB 250+, with options of course.

Where is the evidence that sales are falling because of looks?

No it has presence.

The old GLB wasn’t a beauty either.

You buy this car because of the practicality, not because of the looks.
It actually looked pretty good imo. It’s a really popular model here. I don’t think people are buying it solely for its practicality though, more like because of its boxy, “rugged” shape.

Says who? That doesn’t prove anything. That is your criteria. You can’t speak for all buyers nor do you know how others feel about its looks.

M
Weren’t you the one that insisted on calling certain cars “ugly” and didn’t care about different opinions? 🤣 Interesting.

BTW a friend of mine bought his 2. GLB35 a few weeks ago, he was so satisfied.

And he knew the new one won’t get a ICE AMG version, that’s why he ordered the old one.

Studies indicate that design accounts for 65% of the purchase decision
Again, prove that is the issue with Mercedes. You don’t know how that 65% feels about Mercedes looks. Unless you have a study that says buyers balked at or passed on a Mercedes because of the design you’re just talking out your neck.

Code for “I now realize how ridiculous my “presence” excuse was”.

M
It was never an excuse. What I like or dislike is none of your business, and you don’t have the right to call my preferences “ridiculous”.
Next time try to be OK with different opinions instead of pushing your subjective beliefs onto people. Now go and argue with a wall. FFS.

Oooh the double down. Now a tired excuse posted over and over on a forum is no one’s else’s business. Gotta love it. It’s official the GLB has presence. It’s a terrible excuse for an ugly car.
