Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

The interior is definitely an improvement and the surfboard dash fits better in an SUV than the CLA. Now after we see the disappointing C-Class EV, I expect some fundamental interior changes with the E-Class EV. It has to show a new interior design for a Mercedes.

I’ll be honest…I like it. It wears the front end much better than the CLA. This will sell.

Frankly, I also do not find it to be that bad at all. I certainly prefer it to that neo-retro faux radiator grill shtick found on the GLC EQ. But alas, M-B IMHO just seems to have irreversibly dropped the ball in the context of exterior design. Even my previously enduring excitment regarding the upcoming serial production AMG GT XX is beginning to wane rapidly, now fully anticipating some kind of exterior design f***-up. Devils are in the details-and M-B needs an exorcist or two. Such a bloody shame, as what M-B has been bringing to the table in terms of engineering and tech has been quite brilliant.

I truly hope Mercedes doesn't make anything higher up in the line with a non opening sunroof. An E-Class EV with such a roof would be a disgrace.

Horrific

I'm not sure what Mercedes' obsession is with the light bar across the front. Even though I don't think the GLB looks horrendous, it looks weird.
Why have the light bar?
Thank god they didn't have a light bar for the GLC and C-class. And for heaven's sake they better be rid of the light bar for the GLB and CLA facelifts.

I suspect that I am damn near (if not completely) alone on these forum boards on this issue. But...I really like those EQS sedan style front shields. And I find it a pity that they are apparently being retired in favor of these current neo-retro themes such as that seen on the new GLC EQ.

Anyhow, I find the avenue that M-B designers took in integrating a lightbar on the first EQs very well resolved. And indeed especially "well integrated" on the EQS sedans.:

Imo - Bmw should remain the sporty feeling and looking brand
Audi should remain the middle ground tech design and feeling
Mercedes should remain the elegance and comfort looking and feeling
Lexus should remain the most reliable from all because we cant ask this from the germans in these days when even lexus lost some of it

Cla should be that young vibe model and that it

Gorden was the last on the light bar in the front and back trend and now it looks weird. Seriously, these were all designed when EVs were supposed to be the immediate future and light bars were all the rage at the time. This is where I will give Gorden no slack, he followed a trend too late when he should've been leading.

THIS!

I really hope this is the last MB withe the light bar at the front. At least the AMG 4dr Coupe and SUV better not have it.

They don’t even need to wait for a FL to remove them. They can do it in a MY change. But they should be gone.
