So after the Nissan-Renault mess this GLB goes full chinese?

It looks it’s based on the Smart #5

Another source JESMB has mentioned the AMG GLC EQ will have an incredible 700kw (952PS)!!! That is double the power of the legendary 5.4 supercharged V8 in the W211 E55 AMG, which wasn't exactly a slow car and could accelerate to 100km/h (62mph) in 4,6sec.
Literally nobody needs that much power, especially on a D-Segment SUV.

With its adjusted strategy, the company aims to reach production of 2.2 million units by 2027.
I thought they would change course on the cancellation of the A-class as its still one of their best-selling cars despite been 7 years old, so they will bring out a replacement. IMHO I think its a good move as with the new CLA platform it will have a good technical base for both ICE and EV to be successful. As for the type of car the new A-class will become will be interesting, still a hatch or another saloon? Or perhaps another type of crossover?
