Wretched rust-buckets, those pre-MOPF W/S203s'. The post-MOPF cars were much improved.

Timetable AMG E Performance
- AMG GT 63 SE Performance 4matic+ (843 hp), can be ordered
- S 63 E Performance 4matic+ (223 series) incl. V8; from about summer 2022
- C 63 E Performance 4matic+(W/S206) with M139 R4 with 653 hp summer/autumn 2022
- AMG SL 63 E Performance R232 is combined with 4-cylinder and/or V8 (still 2022)
- GLC 63 SE Performance (X254) 2023 (probably based on 4-cylinder M139)
- E 63 SE Performance (W214) autumn 2023 probably with a 4.0 liter V8 from the performance level of the S-Class (no 800 hp).
Does the S63 E Performance get the full 800+ HP?

Of course it doesn’t- the SL63 comes with a V8, SL63e gets the hybrid system with the V8. Same story with the S-class.I hope the SL 63 has nothing to do with the 4-cylinder engine.
Indeed, but 5000+ lbs? They should rename it as SH 63.SL's haven't been super leicht in ages....
Jesmb.de reports that the engine gets probably the SL63 specification so the overall output should be 789 PS.From what I understand, yes. It's the same P3 system found elsewhere.
Even though I like the little A-Class (Niece recently purchased an A220 Sport), It's time for Mercedes to get back to the top end of the market. I know they will never be able to recapture the Mercedes-Benz essence/mystique of the 80s and 90s, (cheapest model was nearly $60,000 adjusted for inflation) but all these lower tier FWD models are bad for business and image. The goal should NOT be a Mercedes in every driveway; leave that to BMW and Audi.C&D is confirming that the A-Class is being dropped from the U.S. lineup.
Look for the CLS 450 to be next. Totally irrelevant car now next to the AMG GT 4Door models, 43, 53, etc.
- Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the A-class sedan will depart the U.S. lineup.
- The AMG A35 had already been dropped, and now the A220 model will no longer be available after the 2022 model year.
- The GLA-class crossover will now be the cheapest Mercedes, and the CLA-class sedan will stick around for now.
