Mercedes-Benz sound logo!

Well EnI, concerning the pedophilia...

Then one could say BMW's logo evokes the dead peaople in a hospital with his heart stopping to beat for the third beat..

See it as the voice of an angel instead :D

:D

I'm not saying BMW sound logo is any better.
I want to discuss MB sound logo here - not the BMW one. :t-cheers:

Do not turn this thread into MB vs BMW fight, please.

I want to here good & bad sides of MB sound logo.

Eg. to me it works fine with elegant MB models (E, S, CL, CLS). But can't associate it with sporty MB models (SLK, C, AMG), SUVS (GL, ML, GLK) & vans (A, B, & Co).

Perhaps this MB sound would be much better if it was instrumental instead of vocal. :t-cheers:

wow no offense..but damn you just spun it in a totally wrong direction..

It's just my opinion. C'mon. It's not something that's published all over net, TV & press.

And how do you see this new sound logo. Please elaborate ...

That's what I want to hear ... opinions & arguments on the logo, not on my comments. :t-cheers:

i see it as creepy..
like i said previously.. and not fitting..
i dont like it alot..

PS
But child molestation..haha that does not come to my mind..
but hey we all have diffrent thoughts.. who cares..
enjoy your brain:D

Please don't get me wrong!

I'm associating boy's choirs (and not MB in any case!!!) with (potential) child abuse - nothing to do directly with MB brand.

I admit "pedophilia" is a bit too strong word - the term "child abuse" fits better in that context.

:t-cheers:

Just like I associate infant beauty contest with child abuse as well - where young girls in age 4-7 are dressed like adult women, wearing make up & high heels etc.

Or eg Chinese, Romanian or East German infant gymnasts in the past ... same case.

Or infant labor slaves ...

:t-hands:

But that's completely off topic ... so, back to MB sound logo.

EnI, I perfectly agree with you concerning AMG. This logo is imo very good for the classy models, the core Mercedes I would say.

I think (hope) AMG will have a separate logo. It could be, as the latest AMG are developped separately from the regular, and are different from a technical and look point of view. AMG shows its difference now, it is no more only a "more-powerful Merc", but a hig-performance AMG. More AMG, less Mercedes. So a separate logo could make sense.

But for a regular Mercedes, this logo is imo very good, suit the values of Mercedes, and is very emotionnal. Together with the bright star it is a powerful logo, harmonious and elegant.

It is saying "Wow, look! A Mercedes-Benz is coming!"

Anyway, back to topic, please, we are not discussing child abuse here.

Just hold on..i need to go OT:D
About chinese child abuse..i just read that there is a 8 year old girl that ran 3560Km´s in 55 days..with her dad riding behind on a scooter..
Olympics hysteria :t-banghea

But see that's exactly the point. The BMW and AUDI logos can be used across the entire range (after all the point it to reinforce brand identity and recognition) whereas is this MB logo relelvant to say even an SLK 200K (let alone the AMG models)? Simple answer, no.

AMG is a brand for itself within the Daimler AG, just like Smart or Maybach, so they'll probably have their own logo sound in the future, to be honest I also can't imagine this sound at the end of an AMG ad.

I don't think this sound is for AMG. It's too classical-ish and nice to belong to the monster that is AMG.

I think the perfect sound for AMG would be some bad ass drums.

No, the Pope already has some Mercedes :D

But this angel's voice shows you that a Mercedes, this is the heaven!! ;)

I wonder how this choir boy stuff is going to play in the Middle east market.

That shouldn't be an issue. They watch Tom Cruise movies, he's a die hard Scientologist. As long as MB isn't saying "Buy our car, become Christian" then its all good. At the end of the day, those who have issues are very narrow minded and nothing in this world will change their mind anyways.

maybe I missed it, but what is that kid singing??

I really like the Audi one, I think that's my favorite followed closely by the BMW one. Hell I wouldn't even use this MB sound for Rolls Royce.

I wonder how many in middle east know of Scientology? And I don't mean that in a deprecating way, I actually wonder.

What do you count as middle east?

Jerousalem and Cairo amongst others have world famous Religous universitys..
their knowledge of religion in any form is beyond comprehension..

on the other hand..i guess your question was how much does the normal population know about scientology..
well i would say..not a whole lot..

Well i'm from Cairo and hope to able tonswer ur questions. What did u mean by scientology? the group of peoplethat believe only in science as the only explanation to everything or somethi else?

U mean as this ad could be looked at as a christian thing? well that won't be a problem at all...first people here doesn't care about that at all i actuallywas deeply surprised to see u think in that way but i guess forigners knows little about this matter, second here in Cairo about 35 percent of the population is christians and live in perfect harmony wih others, actually have the christians holidys a an official vacation for the whole country just like the other ones so there will never be a problem even if MB cars changed thier star to the sign of the cross:D
