Looking better and better.

This drawn out reveal has made me question the way spy photos and other things really work out. Is it reason enough to believe that those pictures of the white SLS were taken by MB and leaked to the press? They look so similar to the E class photos it makes me wonder. And the fact that this one seems sooooo controlled makes me think that MB is in total control of what is released.

There has to be some kind of leak before the 10th..
I almost crap myself everytime someone writes in this thread..

I cant take it anymore...

You bet there's gonna be a leak before the 10th. That's always the case. I'd say we'll see something tomorrow.

And it's Mercedes' own fault that there will be a leak, they've kept a lid on this car for too long. My guess is that select media outlets will receive the press material on Monday so that they do a long write up ready for Wednesday. The car is too revolutionary not to be leaked ahead of launch. Someone will break the embargo by Tuesday night.

I have a feeling that we'll see more of the SLS before Wednesday, I actually think there will be a leak of official photos tomorrow.

I'm right with you. MB needs to generate as much publicity as possible, and "leaked images" are a great way to do so. Especially the autobild pics, which were of poor quality. This kept people on their toes, waiting for a closer and better look at what the SLS really looks like. MB's response; don't show more exterior pics but instead "leak" an "ordering guide" with no exterior pics, but with option prices. Now, in order to generate a huge amount of publicity, MB sets up a countdown site and teases the SLS with Dr. Z. There was no non-intentional leaked photos as far as I'm concerned.

Btw, the new McLaren comes out on Wednesday, coincidence?:D.

I'd love to see how the two new supercars will stack up.
So far the SLS looks better; I've seen some renderings of the McLaren and the car looks bland; while the SLS looks stunning.

I doubt they are meant to compete, the McLaren and the SLS. Btw, the McL is getting a twin turbo 6.0L V8 with over 600 hp, I read in one of the American mags. In the same issue, it speaks of a Black Series SLS AMG "goodbye edition." It seems the Hammer engines have a ways to go before they get here.

Those from www.mercedes-benz.nl play a bit dirty:whereas on www.mercedes-benz.de there's no mentioning about the SLS AMG, the Dutch home page displays a link heading to the SLS AMG webspecial. I really think the web technical staff will leak somewhere on the website a little photo of the supercar in the following days.

I don't think the SLS will leak internally; from MB on a website; at least not now... most likely the photos are under embargo and it'll be broken soon; today or early tomorrow.

Remember the E-Class episode and you have the perfect demonstration of my words.

I've found this on an automotive forum, but I am really intrigued by the licence plate and the overall looks of the car:

Which is the same as this:

So, it's quite impossible to use the same licence plate when shooting two different models, the SLS AMG now and the E-Class Coupe 6 months ago. It has never happened before and by far, I find it fairly impossible. Also, the car looks a bit rendered.

What do you think?
