Great video, can someone inform as to what his thoughts are?

In a nutshell:
Masterly, skillfully build car. The way the car communicates with the human occupants, is so well thought of, not only engineers developed this S but most surely also psychologists were involved.

W222 was better than it’s competitors, W 223 is way better than it’s competitors.
Mr. Budding thinks the car is sheer perfection and is truly impressed.

Last day we had an editors dinner meet with a key personality of MB India. He stated that there is a huge shortage of semi-conductor hence the delay. Last week Merc even had a press release stating hold the production of few models due to this issue. It’ll take atleast 8-10 months to over the shortage

I stopped watching his videos for a while now (too cheesy for me at times), but very curious what he has to say about this one.

I see like most US W223 it's missing key options. I'd be too annoyed personally (I'm very picky) trying to buy one off the lot right now because almost all available cars a missing something. Not having multi-contour/massage seats in a S-Class is a crime to me (yes, I know chip shortage, but some other piece of tech could've been foregone).

I can understand that. I have to be in the right mindset to deal with someone with personality often (but not always) of an excitable golden retriever. But, overall, among those youtubers who don't have a car journalist background, I respect his approach to his car collection and the cars he presents are eclectic bunch. I'll watch this S-class video with the same level engagement as the mid-1980's Nissan Maxima he presented a month ago. Outside of his pimping of "Cars and Bids" (dot com), I get very little BS from him. I can respect that. Heck, I can even sort of respect his hustle for repping his car auction business.

Both of your posts are spot on and it’s exactly how I feel about Doug. I had an 1987 Maxima so yes I enthusiastically watched that video too. I’d been waiting on his take on the new S too. Dealers now have plenty of them.

Agreed - Steve Hammes is the last of the real automotive journalists. Been following his reviews since the early 2000's. Glad he's still around.

If Mercedes had come up with a better exterior design the EQS would be a killer vehicle. The interior and tech is just beautiful. I wonder what orders are like in the U.S. ?
