S-Class (W223) Mercedes-Benz S-Class W223 Videos Thread

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013.
That’s how it should have been from the beginning of the 223.

I was told that they used the shiny black plastic because it reminds them about the iPhone and iPad screens, and people think that’s premium. They simply didn’t expected the backlash.
Well, MB thought wrong. That may be considered premium in some parts of the world, but not in mine.

@Mick Briesgau & @Swissbob I actually think long term customers should be very vocal about their dissatisfaction about certain things with MB. The message does get conveyed up the line eventually

I have been pressing our sales contacts about the poor finish quality of the new vehicles as well as the general mess they have made in terms of the lack of options, the lack of trims and material choices, the lack of reasonable model variants, we jump straight from an E300 to an E53 here in the Australian market, and so on.

Done that on many occasions. Even on the last clinic I attended, where they wanted to know my opinion about several changes and new options regarding the future operation system. Which was showen in an EQS, by the way.
I would like it, If MB changed interior and quality issues, as well as options, available to every S class. Not asking abnormal prices for things like exterieur and Interieur colour and materials, calling it Manufaktur or whatever, just to milk clients even more.
Look at that wonderful colour options we have within the Manufaktur program for instance. In the 1970-1980, most of them where standard or at additional cost, for metallic, which was the same for almost all colours. Not like it is now, where you pay € 4.700 for a colour like vintage blue or that nice gold colour. Not to mention the € 11.000 for certain other colours.

Black "faux piano gloss" plastic has gradually become a pet "NO GO" with an ever increasing amount of German customers. Fingerprints, scratches and a generally "cheap" optical as well as tactile experience...who needs THAT noise ?? And with increasing innovation in fabrics, durable and sustainable leather alternatives, artificial yet "very authentic appearing" 3D printed wood veneers and even refined rubber-based surfaces, there is really no excuse for the shiny, tacky glossy black stuff.

The next big thing is the flatplane V8, I was already asked what I think about that.

For a sportscar it’s absolutely perfect, but for Trucks and saloons it’s completely wrong.

I already told them,I am not buying these cars with flatplane V8 engines.

I am also Not buying an expensive Mercedes Benz (AMG or Maybach) without real Nappa leather, I don’t care about their “vegan“ materials.

I am doing the same (y)

I am telling them that I want a bright headliner in all of my cars.

TBH I despise black interior’s in my cars.
