VLE/V class? Really, how can one get excited about a van. Unless you have half a dozen kids. But with kids I wouldn’t buy a luxury van.

My long distance cruiser is a V300d 4matic, it’s already my 4th Mercedes Benz Van.

That’s why. Currently it’s the only Mercedes Benz car with 2 Luxuryseats in the back ( both Maybachs have only one Luxury seat, you can’t stretch your legs behind the driver, because the wheelbase is too short).

The VLS should combine the space with softer suspension and less noise.

I had the opportunity to see W224 inside and outside on VR in comparison to major competitor's during a car clinic. As I am not allowed to write / tell anything about this full day exercise, it just convinced me, that my plan to bypass W223 MOPF and to wait for W224 might be the best way to go.

If you bought several S-Classes and/or have an excellent relationship with your dealer, these things are possible.

I have not seen this as Manufaktur Option,
But I have visited the Brabus factory and I have seen their process to upholster this area with leather.
This process, to my automotive knowledge, would never be Manufaktur capable.
If you like to get this parts different, you should ask Brabus to get this parts customized.

The center console is an improvement, everything else less so tbh.

The current Chinese made E300L's have timber veneers around the seat controls.

I wonder if it would be possible to source the item code and retrofit then into the S Class and other models that uses the same part.

Because of the visible phone charger pads, to me the improvement (wooden center console) has been lessened.

I am really reaching a level of distaste for MB interiors similar to the one I have with Audi's.

Fully agree, I much prefer the wireless pads hidden away behind a wooden cover but again Mercedes is following the Tesla and million Chinese car crowd of putting 2 wireless pads open and on the centre console. Easy place to spill some of your coffee when you are navigating a speed bump and then your wireless charger will be toasted lol.

Customers aren’t stupid, If you try to sell a worse product for a higher price, you may fail, and people might not gonna buy it.
