Fully-Optioned Sonderklasse is € 235k?😵‍💫
Damn. What’s the base price without the extras?

I'm playing with configurator, but I'm having trouble with Exclusive Manufaktur Interior options. Can't select any option without error. And cant configure full color interior, only seats and doors like on W223.

I see no reason for current S-Class owners to upgrade to the facelifted version. They must love their cars.

Why? I don’t find this altogether than the W220 and W221 facelifts in terms of changes. I think it’s going to easily entice people to upgrade. Especially those who lease.

The Mercedes is still blessed with a timeless design – in my opinion.

Solely based on a shadowed direct side profile silhouette, the W223's design is indeed competent, very handsome and well-proportioned and arguably timeless. The "body-in-white" cannot be reproached. It is the questionable application of the glitz, trim and sensor add-ons and lighting unit stylistic gimmickry that diminish the visual experience IMHO.

With the facelift being so heavily delayed, many of the folks who aligned their S-class 3-4 year lease plans to acquire at pre-facelift introduction and trade in at facelift introduction have moved on to other cars (what I’ve noticed recently in the NYC area).

MB is going to have a tougher sell this time.. I’m not saying that it will flop, they just need to lure some previously faithful buyers back.

I really want them to go a little more boxy with the exterior design this time. Something reminiscent of the W140 perhaps. These 2 generations looked pretty similar with the soft and organic design.
