S-Class (W223) Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) Facelift

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013. Production: 2020- Model years: 2021-
20% better than a W222 is significant.

You are beating a dead horse.

What is the problem with a system that is relying on both radars and communications? You are coming up with BS based on some promotional footage.

Everyone here knows the ride quality of the S-class is fantastic, and in some iterations possibly still an industry benchmark. It would take some pretty comprehensive testing between the 7, RR and Maybachs to determine which exactly provides the ultimate experience in terms of NVH and ride quality.

We get it. You loved the W222, hated the W22. Move on to the 7-series thread which obviously is still tikling your fancy.
I just wouldn’t bother. By their own words a significant improvement was made but yet and still it’s not enough.

Well...you did bother...Bipolar activity detected

By the way , 10-20% of ride quality you can get or lose by adding or removing 1-2 inch of wheel dimension.

And that's a fact , not a GCF useless comment

No I didn't respond to any of your latest drivel, bullshit, others did. I really don't understand why you bother at this point. Aren't you tired? You wanna talk bipolar? If Mercedes simply used smaller wheels to get better ride quality, you'd be the main one here saying that they're not up to the task of engineering a car to ride well with a bigger wheel like everyone else. That's just how hosed you are.

The W224 and its electric variant excite me.

With the W224 EQ, M-B has the opportunity to present an epic, landmark automobile. The engineering prowess is most certainly there. Design (exterior and interior), assembly quality, fit and finish, materials and cutting-edge intuitive tech will be of most significant importance. Hopefully, M-B does not squander this opportunity.

You have a seriously unhealthy obsession with the 7er. Did one hit your family or something? Or is it just compulsory to mention the 7er every single time the S class is being discussed?

Wow, who would have thought??

This is some major news

Hopefully with powered sunroof.

These fixed glass roofs are atrocious, I despise them.

No, really? You think we don't know after mentioning this 960 times per month?

The use of that reference was obviously lost over your head.

The problem with the S-Class is the execution, especially interior.
All they needed to do with the facelift was get rid of those squeaky plastics and black piano trims. The materials they use are top-notch but the rest is straight up ass. They’re also trying to make the exterior more special and imposing by adding a bigger lit up grille, star shaped DRL’s and stuff but I don’t know if all of those will be enough. The real show-stopper must be the next generation.

Tbh, I think the W223 with the facelift will hit the potential that the prefacelift did not.
The S-class is generally the right balance between imposing but understated. Not as anonymous as the outgoing A8, but not as ostentatious as the current 7er.

They need to ride that balance again. But hopefully in a way that makes the car look a bit more beautiful. Difficult to do. But I don't think the regular S needs to be super showy. The Maybach? Yeah have at it. Add the Glitz and the glam and the size.

Am I being too fussy?
