Backlights look much better now without the body stripes. Much more modern and fresh in all red; the shape really comes out better and more dynamic now.

Nice & classy, it seems like its S600.

Has anyone noted the viano in front of the S, I think they are shooting it! May be for the press video or is it a spy team since the rear badging is stickered?;)

That looks absoloutly stunning the rear is really stunning.
The facelidt seems to be looking very very good the rear arch and rear bumper also look very good overall the rear looks awesome..

This months What Diesel Magazine had a very brief interview with the MD of MBUK and he says we are getting the facelift car in the autumn.

Ok, doesn't answer the question of when it is offically unvieled, but at least we know we need to wait till then to see it for real.

Stewart.

Is it just me or does the back really look like a Maybach now? I feel the body strips broke up the rear a little bit. I like the facelifted model, but also liked the old rear too. I just feel like the rear really looks like a Maybach now, but I guess that is not a bad thing.

It's a bad thing for the Maybach ...

Motortalk.de user "Manuel-c180k" posted these pics, he saw the car near Frankfurt. Had no time to take pics of the front, but managed to take these...:usa7uh:

It was being filmed, notice the guys in the Vito.

Also looks like they are doing the Promo videos for the official release:)

And just look at the Van in front of the E60!! Looks like an official shooting or so!!

Hey did anybody notice the van in front? :D;)

I see two different headlights. One with LEDs in the eye lids and the other one without any.

Yeah looks like it will be the same case as with the E-class, LED's or double fogs. But rather then being dependent on wether the car is 'Avant-garde' or 'Elegance,' which doesn’t exist for the S, it's probably going to depend on wether the car has Bi-Xenon’s or not.

^^ It's alreadu the case for the E. LEDs come with Bi-Xenon (with ILS). As the AVG models have them as standard they always have the LEDs.
But order your Elegance with Xenon and it will come with LEDs DRL, and full-LEDs rear lights.

However here, you don't only have LEDs DRL, but also LEDs in the lower part of the main headlight unit, possibly LEDs indicators.

:t-cheers:

Dealer told me that a new S-Class model will go on sale in August in the U.S. It is the new S520 with a new 5.2L, twin-turbo, DI, camless V8. HP will be 455hp with a U.S. fuel econ of 30 MPG.

M

That sounds crazy!
I thought DI would be added to the current V8s. Why would MB introduce the new V8s with the F/L..

Unfortunately patent and trademark sites like this are becoming the downfall for manufacturers as we rush to protect our copyrights against rising imitations of our design work immediately especially in the way of promotion that design sketches are released to accompany a new production car and that these sketches although not successful as the final design end up as design cues with another manufacturer.

All EU manufacturers use this trademark and patent site so it's not just future Mercedes-Benz models you will find here.
