It's easy to forget them when most are rusting away. I can't recall when I last saw one on the road.

Some really nice photos of a very clean W211. You simply cannot tell the design is already 15 years old.

Simply beautiful. For all the talk of "sensual purity" This is it, great proportions, smooth surface styling with just enough surface tension. It is much like the W213 and the new CLS.

LOL. I agree with you as well, that is why we are keeping the W211 along with the W213.

The W210 are very rare now in South Africa, I have seen more W124 models on the road and also more W211 models also. I suspect it is due to their unreliability and poor build quality and breakdowns.

I washed our W211 and drove it today, I had a little look back at the car park just to see how stylish and elegant it still is, after all these years.

Thanks buddy, I have taken really good care of the car and I still get complements from people from time to time. My non car friends are surprised when I tell them the car 12 years old.

W211 is truly masterpiece of design, just in my opinion, Avantgarde pack is must have.
And brilliant silver is best color for W211, along with this :

You can hide sign and ask someone who is not car expert, "which car is this", he would say Mercedes.

I suppose I can. Back when we order the car, we did consider it but we didn't like the black maple wood trim that comes standard on the Avantgarde so we stick with the elegance trim instead.

I really like this blue color as well, it is the stand out color for the W211 generation.
