Rest assured, this guy is terrible at cleaning up spy shot images. They always look crap. The current E is extremely elegant, and I dont think MB are going to stuff it up.

Those rear lights are definitely not an improvement IMO...

I agree! MB is working too hard with CLK design elements with the facelifted E-Class.
I even see subtle (fake) body stripes in the rear lights, thats indeed an overworked ( S-Class) look and takes away from the design.

This facelift came from the CLK facelift and is alright to me.

The rear is also from the factlifted CLK but it`s overworked imo.

I don`t think that`s tape. It looks like Bicolored plastic which might make the final cut when the facelift E debuts. Whatever the case it doesn`t look as good as the currant model.

I'm really not too sure if I am ok with the fact that they have done literally nothing visably different to the interior of the car. They need to do something to it, sure the design is beautiful, but it's not perfect. They should freshen it up with S class like buttons or osemtihng. I dunno I'm just bickering I guess.

The tailights won't have body strips, they will be like the CLK's with a full white middle area...

I find the mirrors quite ugly I wonder why they changed them...

There is one difference in the interior, they changed the steering wheel! I know not that exciting...

Those turnsignals on the headlamps do look like they have LED's that would be nice... I think the tailights should have standard LED's now also.

Steering wheel looks like the CLS now. To be honest I didn't think the interior was that bad, I liked the elegant swoosh and the chrome strip etc.

Hopefully the materials were changed though, some people might complain about the plastics and the leather....I doubt MB really tried in that department...sad...

Still the car looks good and with new engines should allow it to compete more...

in my opinion, the steering wheel is not another one!
you can get this steering wheel with the sport package i think! i have seen normal e classes with this steering wheel!
so nothing new!
