Future car concepts, design studies, upcoming tech, and what may come next
If only that Maybach would have happened instead of the rebadged S class we have now...

Maybach should have been a stand alone MB. The W222 S-Class is a fantastic car, but making it larger and including some fancy extras on the rear is not enough to compete with RR and Bentley.

Are Maybach 600s built by hand?
I think they would compete better if Maybach had its own plant like RR or Bentley. A place where cars are built rather than assembled.

Lol .......I see what you did there ;)

However, there was these sketches and model of a future Maybach

Comparing it to the Unimog is a compliment tho :D
I love that truck

I can see the W222 inspired heavily from it (the concept, not the Unimog xD)

So I'm guessing the exterior previews the new shape of the CLS .... pretty much a carbon copy of the A7.

Which in turn is a copy of the original CLS

Edit: I think you should forget about your fanboyism and recognize the true originator of the 4 door coupe movement...

that's right...

I think Mercedes Benz got that long tail end and aerodynamic inspiration from some 1950's concept cars:D:ROFLMAO:

Both Mercedes and Audi have taken active aerodynamics to the next level, they have gone beyond active spoilers to actually changing the shape of the car.

You can see that the extensions at the back helps prevent air flow separation from the body of the car and minimise the area of turbulent air /wake behind the car, thus reducing drag and improving aero efficiency.

Hum, I think you forget BMW who started it with GINA.

Mercedes-Benz seem to have a real Saab fetish lately this and the C-Coupe can be considered Saab-like.
