Some new CLS63 pics...











































The car looks beautiful as always, though slowly but surely it's beginning to age alongside it's more modern looking siblings in the rest of the MB line as the new cars continue to roll out. I also took notice to the beautiful German countryside landscape, breathtaking.

I'll admit, the E60 M5 is not as attractive as the CLS, but from a technological standpoint the M5 is far more appealing and would be the car to recieve a check from me...

i find it very amusing that ppl just without a blink conciders a AMG car not as andvanced as a M car..even when its brand new and not even tested..
maybe its cause AMG makes the cars so fast..
if thats they way to look at it..RS cars should be the most advanced..it takes audi for ever to make them..

I think it comes down to brand innovations, AMG has not had very many over the standard cars, it seems like they only merely improve upon the std. offerings. Though it looks as if now they're starting to change that philosiphy w/ the new 6.3 V8, they could to more though, much more.

it all depends on how tight leash MB holds on them.. cause you and i both know what happens when they get free hands..
look at the CLK DTM..the CLK GTR.. they smoke the doors of almost all cars out there

sure they do, but they need to do that w/ series production cars as well, not just exclusives.

well thats not in AMG´s hands..its up to MB.. depending on where they want to take their AMG philosophy.. but according to the AMG boss there will be track series of AMG cars..that should satisfy all those who arent today

thought it was always in AMG's hands??? I know only M makes all the crucial decisions regarding M cars, such as engines, transmissions, etc. Not BMW.

dont know how its with BMW..but one key thing with MB cars are comfort..and i dont think MB gives amg the authority to make a car under the star that sucks at comfort..
and i guess the handling suffers for that..

Yeah that is very interesting. The only area where the CLS63 is less sophisticated is in the transmission area, it doesn't have a million different shift modes.

i reckon the 7G tronic is pretty advanced..
but then again if you sit and count advancement .. by measuring how hard it is to use the product..well then i guess its not so advanced..
MB often tend to lean towards the effortless style.. i guess that also takes some advanced thinking and engeneering to do
