The front is okey, looks like the new C-class

Profile - nothing new here , seen it before

Rear - I dont like the rearlights (boring shape), brakelight stripe is to wide

Interior - the speedo dial and reevcounter looking good, fresh and modern but the rest is so so

Does this mean Im going to run to the nearest MB dealer and change my babybimmer for this?
I dont think so. I love how my car drive and ride and I love how the car looks. I dont need anything bigger or smaller in size. My babybimmer is perfect for me.
Top on that it would be a moneywaster to already trade my car for something new.

Too bad. Overpriced for the old one. Not sure it will sell with the copy-pasted interior, obviously old. I was sure they would lessen the price...

If you compare it to the 1er and A3, the CLC interior stands up pretty alright and is not terribly out dated , especially against the 1er.

That they haven't addressed the pricing issue is pretty pathetic. To have any chance of success this car's pricing needs to be SHARP against the 1 and A3.

Nothing wrong with the interior in 1er. Top on that you get a driverorinted dashboard. Only thing I find intresting in CLC is the speedocounter and reevcounter, that looks up-to-date. Other than that I keep my interior for its simplicity and ease to use. Only complaint I have is that the compartment store is small in my car.

lol...you can't be serious rob? Check out the two tone C-class interiors! Have you had a chance to prod around for a while in the new C's interior? It comes together extremely well in person.

With regards to my previous comment on pricing...MAYBE they've increased stanadard equipment immensely. In which case it may just be ok.

I'm with rob on this one, and yes I've driven the car. While the interior quality is flawless the design is very non-expressive compared with CLS/E, GLK and S-class. The problem is the lack of wood/aluminum panels incorporated nicely into the dash.

Don't get me wrong, it certainly is not horrible ....but it isn't very inspiring.

I clearly see some very similar themes happening here.

This central seam with symmetrical, obtuse angles (forming chevrons or arrows) started at GM ...not Mercedes-Benz

The interior in Honda Accord has more similarities with C-class than the Astra does.

I've pointed that fact out about the interior since the car came out. The center console (aka radio, the main part of the dash) looks very similiar to me.

As for this "new" car, I don't understand why MB didn't put more effort into it. THe front view looks good, I hate the rear and the profile looks exactly the same. If the old car didn't fare too well, how would this change anything in the long run? And how long is this car supposed to be in the market?

And from the front 3/4, I can't help but think it looks similiar to the Astra as well.

I kind of agree for the Astra/C-Class.
The centre console with the line in the middle, and the little round buttons, are a bit Opel-like.
It looks a bit spartan, like the Astra...With rigid lines...The Astra and C-Class interiors effectively share some design similarities for me.

The interior of the C-Class is unfortunately not really inspiring in pics. Much better IRL, but still a bit spartan.

What I like in it is the simplicity, the ergonomics, the simple lines. I feel very very good inside. But it does not look fabulous, I was (and still is) slightly disappointed with the interior of the W204.

I feel very good in it, but it does not look that premium. It is very well built, the materials feels imo even more solid than in an E-Class, but they look a bit cheap on some places. Only look.

It is a relaxing, very plesant interior, but it pics it does not look very good.

Thanks Warot, I realize I was not the first to make these comparisons ....I should also acknowledge Shameel (Beemer B773ER) for pointing out the clear similarities with Opel some time ago.


Thanks for posting that Honda picture Andreas .....it seems like this is a trend everyone wants to be a part of.
