Too early to say.
1. Don't know much about the weight & engine specs of the C63.
2. Don't know the full performance specifications of the M3.
3. Yet to see the unveiling of the C63, so I can't make interior and exterior comparisons.

In summary- its too early to say.

it was just a side by side photo comparison of what we got this far..
but its still great that you vent your thoughts..

im with you all.. its way to early to call a winner..
the only thing one can spot here is a hint of what the cars will look like

based on that.. the M3 sedan doesent look to exciting i must say..
and thats not cause im a MB fan..cause i wanted it to look great..

Back on topic. I think the M3 is way more agressive than the AMG, at least in spy shots, but the C63 is overall a beatiful design and more harmonious lines. That's all I can say so far because these are only spy shots and not the real thing. I'll wait until the cars are unveiled.

Jumping what gun? The CL63 sedan is more visually appealing then the M3 coupe so I highly doubt the sedan is gonna be ! It just seems these days that Mercedes is making outstanding vehicles in every segment, looks as well as comfort and performance. BMW honestly can't compete will Mercedes these days, Mercedes makes complete cars not just performers. Look at the dated rear end on the M3 sedan.

All I can say is that the C looks more elegant and clean while the M looks more aggressive and raw.

I think the C63 will be more of a purpose built luxury drag racer than all out track car like the E90 M3, as is the case with pretty much all AMG cars bar the CLK63 Black Series - for obvious reasons. In power figures and acceleration these two will compare, but the BMW will have the upper hand handling wise and on the track. The M3 should prove to be the smoother drive as well because of the high revving engine that has the wide spread torque distribution, unlike the C63 that will have a butt load of torque at the bottom, and, for the future, DCT should also be smoother than SMG- so you'll get smoother shifts with an automatic transmission in the E9* series M3's.

My choice will be the car that is the most involving and most fun to drive. If the car gets a DSG gearbox than its a big +

wow man this is the second time your confused about the 63 engine..
first you called it a lump.. and it isnt at 199kg
and now you say that it delivers low end torque like the 55 kompressor
the power dilvery of the 63 is very broad and constant..
its nothing like the old engine..

heck the torque kicks in fast and stays long.. who can complain about that?

well , I would call you a MB fan and Audi fan and not a BMW fan. You always find something to complain on bmw when you compare bmw with audi and mb. You stated it several times that MB and Audi are great and bmw is no good.
