I'm a big fan of the Actors truck and learned about this baby yesterday while at the Benz dealership. Gorgeous truck. 
Basically, this concept is a "mobile truck home". After reading the article, I really want one of these!

Mercedes Actros Space-Max: Schlaf-Studie
Nach dem "Black Edition" und dem "Cruiser" zeigt Mercedes mit der "Space-Max" genannten Studie auf der IAA erneut eine besondere und besonders große Actros-Version. Der Fokus liegt dieses Mal auf den Themen Entspannung und Schlafkomfort. (After the Black Edition and Cruiser concepts, Mercedes-Benz debuts the Actros Space Max concept. This truck will mainly be engineered for the driver placing emphasis on relaxation and sleeping comfort.)
Im Zentrum der Studie steht deswegen das Bett. Das Besondere: Tagsüber sieht man es gar nicht. Es ist vollkommen in die Rückwand integriert und lässt sich elektrohydraulisch ausfahren. (Among the many innovative features of this truck is the bed. During the day, you don't see it as it is completely integrated into the rear wall of the cabin and can be electronically setup.)
Wenn der Fahrer auf der 80 Zentimeter breiten Matratze liegt, kann er durch das große Schiebedach direkt in den Himmel blicken. Oder TV oder DVDs auf dem Flachbildschirm anschauen. Links und rechts angebrachte Wandleuchten, die sich nach Belieben einstellen lassen, erzeugen eine gemütliche Atmosphäre im Schlafzimmer. Durch eine Trennung in Farbe und Material wird das "Schlafzimmer-Erlebnis" noch verstärkt. (The mattresses are 80cm thick and the driver can look at the sky thanks to a large sunroof. Entertainment includes TV or DVD features on a flatscreen monitor. There are ambience lamps on both sides of the cabin whose illumination strength the driver can control. To reinforce the feeling of "living room / sleeping room", a wall can be setup to isolate the driver inside this room from the main cockpit area.)
Da sich das Bett einklappen lässt, hat der Fahrer im "Wohnzimmer" ein viel großzügigeres Raumgefühl, das auch die fast senkrecht gestellte Windschutzscheibe hervorhebt. Vor allem die Dachhöhe ist imposant: Mit vier Metern geht Mercedes damit an das gesetzlich erlaubte Limit. Durch das Glasdach fällt viel Tageslicht in den Wohnbereich. Das Ambiente wird durch helles Leder und Nussbaum-Holz bestimmt. Ausruhen und entspannen kann sich der Fahrer in einem Relax-Sessel, der sich auf der Beifahrerseite befindet. Dieser lässt sich drehen und ist damit wie geschaffen für die Fahrpausen. (When the bed is not in use, the driver can use the "living room" for other purposes. The height is 4 meters (the max. permissible height in the EU) allowing for a lot of space. The glassroof / sunroof on top allows a lot of natural light to enter the cabin. Light colored materials and nuttree wood decorate the environment. A "relaxation seat" is located next to the driver on his co-passenger side and can also be swirled around.)
Äußerlich verfügt der Space-Max über ein ähnliches Auftreten wie die "Black Edition", die es als limitiertes Sondermodell auch zu kaufen gab, ist aber in weißem Metalliclack gehalten. Basis ist ein Actros 1860 LS mit Bluetec5-Technologie, dessen V8-Diesel aus 16 Litern Hubraum 600 PS leistet. (The Space Max appears similar to the Black Edition but will also be a limited edition model only available in metallic white. The basis for the Actros Space Max will be the standard Actros 1860LS with Bluetec5 technology, which is a 16-L V8 turbodiesel engine with 600-horsepower.)
