i do wonder how a Sebring laptime would look like (never resurfaced)
Having already accumulated over 5000km of test mileage with record setting prototypes, McMurtry is now preparing for Spéirling PURE production.
Considering the capabilities of this car in performance and track the price of a million quid is not that exorbitant. The level of engineering, design and tech is impressive. It will run rings around basically any car you can think of. 7.97sec 1/4mile!What a giant f#cking joke.
A million pounds for a toy 'car'
The average Mercedes prototype drives like 2 million km of test milage.. 5000 km they do in two weeks.

- 0-97 km/h (60 mph) in 1.55 seconds
- 0-161 km/h (100 mph) in 2.63 seconds (this is 1.6sec faster than the 1600PS Bugatti Chiron SS and even faster than the 2.8sec the 816PS Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance takes to reach 100km/h(62mph)!!!
- 0-233 km/h (145 mph) in 4.98 seconds (the time the new 711PS 911 Turbo S reaches 161km/h (100mph)
- 400 m (approx. 1⁄4 mile) in 7.97 seconds (a full 2sec faster than the new 711PS 911 Turbo S)
Most of such things are exactly that: toys for too-rich boys. Bollide, Huayra R, Valkyrie, FXXK, AMG One - all pretty much unusable without an entourage of techies accompanying you to your dick measuring contest - I mean VVIP track day. What a giant f#cking joke.

Did you per chance see it run at Goodwood? On the vids you can hear the crowd gasping. Literally breathtaking turn of speed. It's a track only single seater, it costs a million quid, runs on slicks, has a thousand horsepower and was faster up Lord March's driveway than a championship winning V10 era Formula 1 car... it's simply not comparable to any other road car.
I agree. The videos of it running on the track look like AI. Unreal performance. Most of such things are exactly that: toys for too-rich boys. Bollide, Huayra R, Valkyrie, FXXK, AMG One - all pretty much unusable without an entourage of techies accompanying you to your dick measuring contest - I mean VVIP track day.
The McMurtry’s performance speaks for itself. If I was a car collector billionaire, I’d be in that queue.

I like this!Helix's technology also powers record-breaking hypercars such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Lotus Evija & Czinger 21C.
