Maserati Gran Turismo in The Wild

Hmm don't know what to say. It is sexy but the front looks a bit squat.

You can surely tell that the same guy who drew this Maser also drew the 599 GTB.

The rear light's look A/S5ish don't ya think? And what models does it compete against, the CL, CGT?:eusa_thin

Yeah they do and the rear is kinda wide and flat like the A5 too. I think it competes with the Jaguar XKR, Aston V8 Vantage and some 911s along with the CL and 6-Series. In short any GTish, 2-doorish type, high-end luxury/sport car.

That's odd don't ya think? It competes against 2+2's as well as full size luxury coupes like the CL. Damn this thing stradles every segment!

I like the rear-end styling & rims on this new icon :usa7uh: ...!

Beside that, I think, last gen was even better-looking :eusa_thin ...!

I think the GT needs to be seen in real life to make a good judgement about the front-end styling. The whole mug looks a bit funny, but the flanks are so sculpted I think the impression could be very dramatic in person.

In any case - Jag, are you taking notes? Your XK already looks like it's 6 years old.

Well yes, but not really. Since they only have one 2-door they'll try to hit the sports car and GT segments at the same time. I suspect we'll see sportier versions of this car down the road to really compete with 911 Turbos and what not.

The front lights don't match with the rest of the car , i liked the previous gen more.

Amazing pictures Christian. I like how the body is sculptured, I'm sure I will be blown away in real life. I didn't like the front and rear lights at first, but when they're in use they really come to character. The rear light LED strips looks really good and the brake lights kinda characterises the rear. Now I really want to see the interior in exotic colours to be really convinced this is the best Maserati coupé ever.

does anyone think the new granturismo looks like a cheaper version of the aston db9? Im surprised no one has made this comparision yet! i loved the very first pics that maser released on the car but now as more and more actual pics of the grant in the metal are released, the coupe looks distinctively japanese almost! a little sad i must say as the first teaser pics of the grant in that silver color was amazing! Well, i just hope that the maser granturismo wont end up being labelled as the poor man's DB9 :D

I think it resembles the 599 more than anything else.
