It was cleared.
okaaaay. It would certainly be interesting to see what time they can pull of with a clear track and ideal weather conditions.

It was cleared.

This is a tuned car and BTW never ever road legal in Germany.
- German TÜV ? No
- Emission levels? No
- Regular street tires ? No
...do I have to coninue?
It's ridiculous to claim speed records of tuned cars which likely never last more than 10.000 km.

Where did i mentioned edo ?So whats the difference between this CSL and the EDO Porsche 911 that did the ring in 7.15 min?
Where did i mentioned edo ?
Just curious marcei... where exactly did they actually claim to have achieved any 'record' ?
They publicised their time around the 'Ring to show just how much of improvement they've done to what once was an already outstanding trackcar. They haven't claimed to have smashed Pagani's latest time around the 'Ring (not that such a record is any less rediculous coz good luck finding LEGAL piece of road where you can drive like you can on the 'Ring).
The time is simply an objective and quantifiable means of comparison to what modifying an M3 CSL can do over the stock model.
You didnt. But I would like to know the difference between those two.
From loaded.se forum:
"With Michelin tires it isand with another +10 degrees and no other cars on the track, we will do 10 more sec so watch out, see you EDO guys in March 2008...i hope!"
ahh, comparing this pimped CLS with a road legal car in Germany does make sense in your opinion?
and loaded.se isn't claiming records? Haha:
"our goal to hunt down the Porsche Carrera GT on the ring. Second goal is to going after the EDO Competition Porsche, 7:15."
Nuff said.
Stating their goal is not by any stretch of imagination claiming any records. What you did, is raise a bogey man, knock it down and when questioned about it, come up with a very untenable answer. Pretty cheap stuff.
You're funny, what does their statement "hunting down CGT" mean, if not the intention to beat the CGT time? (and what is a bogey btw?)
And how is having the goal of beating CGT's time equate to claiming any record?
And I meant straw man, not bogey man - I guess need some coffee.
Both qotes "hunting down CGT" (take CGT as the fastest road legal production car)
+ "Second goal is to going after the EDO Competition Porsche, 7:15." (EDO time is the record for street legal modified cars) are literal translated implications for breaking a record, don't they?
Radicals have been faster than the EDO so they wont have any record even if they beat that EDO.

Sure, but Radical is way too different from those two; EDO and Loaded are tuners of stock cars - therefore they can compete with each other... Radical? No. It's time should be compared to Caparo's (if available/measured at all).
