Hennessey MaxBoost 435 for the MKS

The folks at Hennessey Performance have gotten their hands on a Lincoln MKS fitted with Ford's new EcoBoost V6 engine, and the end result is pretty darn cool.

In its standard form, the twin-turbocharged MKS produces 355 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, but by adding Hennessey's MaxBoost 435 upgrade kit, that very same engine now cranks out a whopping 435 hp and 405 lb-ft. That means the Hennessey MKS is capable of putting down 0-60 times of only 4.5 seconds (that's as quick as a BMW M5) and will run the quarter mile in just 13 seconds at 106 mph.

The MaxBoost 435 package includes a dual cold air induction system, as well as a polished intercooler piping upgrade, engine management software upgrade, and a stainless steel cat-back exhaust. What's more, Hennessey installs all of the equipment itself and backs the package with a one year/12,000 mile warranty. Without any crucial suspension or brake upgrades, we doubt that the MaxBoost MKS will outrun an M5 on the track, but it'll certainly blow the doors off of your Grandfather's Lincoln any day of the week

No thanks. I'd rather have a used M5... or even a stock 5er over that hideous thing. Btw, 1/4 mile time in M5 is waaaaay less (12.5sec). :)

So, in line with the E39 M5 then...

Wow...you all are some kind of mean! I was hoping that people would just appreciate what was done to the car engineering wise. Of course then happens all the time...guess I should have expected this. :eusa_doh:

Is there something special done to this car, engineering-wise? Not just a software upgrade and a new exhaust?

Lincoln MKS as fast as M5!

Irrelevant when it looks like it does..haha:D

You have said before that you have a good eye to Lincoln. What is it that you find special about the brand? We don't get them here.

Smooth ride, simple design and elegant interior. I use to own a Lincoln Town Car and loved it.

Their not sporty and fancy like the Germans, but just a nice driving car.

That is actually one of the best looking interiors I have ever seen in an American car. I can surely understand your reasons behind liking Lincoln.

Pointless to compare this car to an M5. If it is as fast in a straight line it won't be nearly as satisfying to drive. A Lincoln is just a different type of luxury car compared to a BMW and it certainly isn't a sports sedan. Pointless claim here.

haha, saying some tuner car is as fast at M5 in 0-60 is like saying me on steroids can twitch a finger as fast as Usain Bolt. Where is my gold medal (and M3)? :D

Oh how precious is the name of the M5!

Lol...Man you all hate for anything to be compared to the M5. All they said is that the 0-60 times was the same as the M5. No big deal.

Glad I don't freak out everytime something has the same time as an AMG.

My goodness...

I guess what they're saying is that it is pointless to point out that you can match 1 stat on two oh-so different cars.

No one is freaking out. Just a lousy sense of humor.
