Leaked Brochure.. :)
I think Lexus did a pretty good improvement on their RX especially the new grille fits quite well on this facelifted version.

The photos you see here are scans from a leaked brochure of the Japanese market 2012 Lexus RXthat has received a mid-life facelift, three years after its market launch in early 2009. The updated RX will be available in North America as a 2013 model.Following in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the 2013 Lexus LX 570 that was introduced in January, the refreshed RX gains a new fascia featuring Lexus's new trademark spindle grille along with revised headlamps sporting LED daytime running lights and a redesigned front bumper.
Also new are the tail lamp graphics and the alloy wheel designs.
The interior gets a news steering wheel design and refreshed trim options while as Carscoop tipster Leopaul pointed out; Lexus will also be offering a new optional rear-seat entertainment system on high-range models.
Perhaps even more importantly, Lexus is also introducing a new F Sport variant on the RX 350 and RX 450h Hybrid (Japan also gets an RX 270 model).
The scanned pictures reveal that the F Sport trim adds a unique front fascia with a honeycomb-style insert, a spoiler kit, tinted lights and larger alloy wheels on the outside, plus a sports steering wheel, seats and trim including alloy pedals on the inside.
We couldn't translate the text (any help would be appreciated) but we assume that, like the new GS F Sport, the RX F Sport models should also benefit from several chassis tweaks.
Look for the updated 2013 Lexus RX making its online debut within the next few weeks.

And this is news? :D

Man, the RX is like a sleeping pill to me. Been that way since day one (when the car came out).

I'm driving my Mom's ES350 around right now, and DAMN is Lexus a sh*t experience. I mean, the lack of soul and passion is just painful.

Lol. :D You're so cocky.. :D
Yeah, for you guys in USA or Europe this car maybe not that famous, but here in my country Indonesia this car is selling like cupcakes! Never driven a Lexus before, but from what i heard and read this RX has pretty good qualities in handling & comfort. Yes, the pre-facelift version looks a bit bland & boring but i think this facelifted version looks quite good. Of course compared to your Mercedes, Lexus is still miles away.. :)

:D Not really, just opinionated.

The RX is a Sales master here too, but that doesn't make or break it IMO. I just equate Lexus with a sleeping pill. I've never experienced anything as artificial as this ES I'm driving. I feel so sorry for my Mom who comes from a history of BMW's and Benzes (her last two cars were an E60 and W211) who is stuck with this thing for now. :(

Ooh man, when I get back in my E, it's like being in a granite built kingdom. Just such a better product, IMO. :)

Yeah if you compared the E60 and W211 with ES, than you must be getting a huge disappointment. No matter how good their build quality is, Lexus still lacks the driving feeling that we got from MB or BMW as a driver. Maybe Lexus is more suitable for those who use the driver in daily activities or people that prefer comfortness not driving experience like us.
As a good son, how about you exchange your W212 with your mom ES? :D

Haha, I told her that if I don't keep it, with all the care I put into it, I will make sure I save it for her. :D

I think it actually looks better. It is the interior that really makes me dislike this vehicle. I think they did a better job of integrating the new grille here than they did on the LX570.

Yowzer.... not ideal to try and incorporate a new 'family' grille during a model's facelift. This example shows exactly why. Looks a little too forced. Not ugly or weird,..just not entirely cohesive.

I will however give a thumbs up on the addition of the F Sport variant. Gotta love an aggressive 4WD...even if it's an RX.

Also, never really paid attention to the interior of the RX...but my goodness it looks..... terrible! Just ugh!

HAHAHAHA. F'ing Marketing shots.

The way they seem to "add new lines" by heavily distorting the shadow play makes those Press pics look like different cars than the real life pics of that incredibly slabby, bland, characterless thing.

I think it's MUCH improved. The rear and profile has always been quite attractive and this new front works quite well on the SUV.

It's certainly better than the pre-fl which was rather weak at the front.

they have finally changed the non existing front bumper of the old mk :D

I must say it looks a lot better. Not as bland and more aggressive. I wish the base ML was this aggressive.

C'mon, for christ sake, I know the new ML isn't popular here, but not as aggressive as an RX with a simple new front grille and changed rear lights? Have you guys seen the new ML on the roads? The thing's brick-like stature is more aggressive than the RX's darth-vader helmet attempt at a front bumper reformation.

I have seen quite a few MLs on the road and actually have driven one as well. The front is soft looking. The sport package makes it look a lot better but the front is soft and 3/4 front view is soft of the base version.

The new generation ML is a great SUV, huge improvement on the inside, fit and finish on the outside and the rear is nice, but it is not as aggressive looking from the front or side for that matter.
