LFA Lexus LF-A Production Version Supercar (Spy pics & info)

it's maybe a fast car but for me it looks like every other japanese car. like it's of plastic. too plain and generic ..

I'd take sls in a heartbeat over this ...

I can't stop looking at it. This is going to be the first lust-object Lexus and it some cheap copy of something else either. This thing is hot.

Can't wait to see this Lexus and the SLS duke it out, it will be the biggest fight between them in years. Not since the old Lexus LS vs Mercedes S-Class wars. The W221 ended that.

There's no way that Lexus can stop the SLS. From what I've seen, the LF A looks too japanese; even has some IS cues. The SLS is the best of what beauty and sport have to offer; and I'm not sure that any Lexus could top that. As for how they drive, reviews of the SLS seem more than solid; I'll just have to wait until I can say the same thing for the Lexus.

if the Lexus drives and handles anything like the Nissan GTR, then the germans has to watch out.

Merc excited about a Lexus....WOW..Times have changed. ;)

LOL. Actually I like something from just about everybody. I like the Lexus IS and LX (don't ask me why about the LX when its just a Land Cruiser in good clothes).

This sports car on the other hand, I'm really thrilled about it. We finally know its coming to production and it should be on sale in the U.S. next summer, right after the SLS AMG. Going to be really something.

I have doubt this thing will be fierce on the track and knowing Lexus it will be as plush as a LS600hL on the inside. The price is rumored to be around 225-250K, that will be something to see if they can sell it at the price.

I expect this to beat the GT-R around a track, if not then they're going to have some problems with a 200K plus price.

We'll see it officially in next month at the Tokyo show.

I wouldn't be so sure yet. Design yeah they're both lookers IMO, but I'd pick the Benz too on that count alone.

How they drive though wil be a different story. Nobody has driven the production version of this car yet, only the racing version. I don't doubt that this will give the SLS a hard time on the track. Toyota knows a thing or two about sports cars, they've just been too lame (until now) to build one.

^Well it will be interesting to see how it will compare to the Nissan, but I still think it won't crush the SLS though and especially not the 458 on Lexus first try. But hopefully it will be all that you hope for :usa7uh:

It's not like Toyota has never built anything more extreme than the Supra before.

This is looking great, but I would rather they branded it a Toyota instead, to replace the legendary Supra? Lexus has been traditionally a luxurious Toyota brand, I know they are trying to change this in recent years, but "Lexus" immediately makes me think of luxury instead of exotic sports. Really hope this can be on terms with the Skyline GTR, these crazy jap cars are wicked, and especially there will be A LOT of wicked aftermarket tuning available.

I hope it does look Japanese because it is a Japanese company designing and producing the car. Leave the Germans to design German vehicles, let Lexus produce Japanese luxury and now Japanese sports cars...

Yes agreed, it's only a problem when you have have a german car looking like a jap car, but a jap car looking like a jap car is perfectly fine, and i would like to see some "rice" (at least after some custom mods) since that's part of it imo.

The design is actually very excellent. I've seen the concept car in the metal and it's absolutely jaw droopingly gorgeous. Toyota have crafted a very unique body shape that will make the LA-F a worthy alternative to what's already out there. Impressively, the shape of the concept is fully intact for the production car. The car will earn Lexus some much needed concept and will draw people to the Lexus dealers. If only Lexus can sort out their passenger cars too because at the moment, the IS250 is the only Lexus which is an interesting rival to the Germans.

Lexus LF-A Caught Undisguise in Black

WCF
These new spy photos feature yet another version of the Lexus LF-A. Now in Matte Black, we can see even more details on the car compared to the barely-camouflaged white model spied last week.

Taken on the Nurburgring, the black model shows very sharp contours at the front, almost making the vehicle look like it was already attacked by a tuner firm. Some black tape is still used to mask details around the lighting, but the three-sectioned grille, front spoiler, hood vents, and new mirrors are perfectly visible.
Steep side sills lead to air intakes, which merge well with the rear wheel wells. The back end's rear fascia is mostly complete, and shaped in a way that perfectly uses tri-exhaust pipes. A rear diffuser looks to incorporate those pipes. Also at the back, we get our clearest view of the rear LED lights, although still partially covered.

Expected to use a 600-horsepower 4.8-liter V10 engine, the Lexus LF-A should be one of the hottest debuts at next month's Tokyo Motor Show.

As much as I don't want to like a lexus, I think I am gonna love it - just look at loos those mesh covered holes - I am a sucker for that.

If you've seen the videos of this thing running the 'Ring, it has one of the best engine sounds ever. It's such a high pitched wail and it's VERY much like the high revving Formula 1 engines.

It certainly is odd looking, but in a good way, at least the appearance has some character! That is something that is seldom seen in a Lexus...

^Wow...even Dunkel is getting excited about this Lexus. Never thought I see the day where this forum and even the orignal members of GCF would fall in love with a Lexus. Well I guess the GT-R did it for Nissan too. Something about sports cars. Looks like Lexus might even win some future polls.

Never thought I would see the day where Lexus would do something that BMW wouldn't. Looks like Lexus, Audi and Benz will be the new Bosses of the Super Sports Car (Luxury Automakers) world.
