Pictures Lexus General Picture Thread

Ok, I've got to admit.. these new pictures bring a new light to the IS-F. It's lookin' much better here than it ever has before. As a Lexus enthusiast myself, I seriously hope that when I see it IRL I'll be intrigued, rather than disgusted.

The black colour does tone it down a bit but it still looks heavily overdone and I doubt I'll ever be able to digest the design. I prefer the stock IS by far. For Lexus sake the car better drive better than it looks otherwise it will flop worse than the Aztek.

Those IS-F photos caused me to vomit. But thanks, actually. It helped me to loose weight. Now I just have to clean-up the mess...

-The only hybrid car I would buy.

GS 450h

And here it is the IS220d

Even the bog-standard diesel powered Lexus IS looks better than the IS-F IMO.

Fabulous pictures guys - many thanks, and hope there will be more to come. At the Melbourne International Motor Show earlier this year, I took a very careful look at the LS460/600H compared to an S500 Benz, 7 series Bimmer, and A8 Audi.

I still prefer the overall aesthetics of the European approach to design, and was totally smitten by an S500 in Tanzanite Blue, with black carpets and dash, and the light beige seats - might have even been a Designo interior, even though it had the standard wheel.

The Big Lexus's in silver with mid grey interior paled before it in my eyes.

However, in terms of perceivable quality, that is what one can see by eye, and not the industrial/engineering secrets which are never made public as regards quality of materials and manufacture, the Lexus sweeps all before it.

I'm a Benz fan, but not a closed minded fan boy, and if I wanted the best combination of outright luxury and quality in the business, (without going to Bentley, Maybach, and Rolls Royce levels perhaps) the Lexus is probably it, at the present time.

Doubtless they're not as sporty as the Europeans to drive, but then they're not designed to be so.

And as I like a balance of sportiness as well as comfort in my cars, and v/high quality as well, perhaps the Lexus is not quite the right choice for me.

But they are hugely impressive pieces of engineering and demonstrate the most fastidious attention to build, assembly detail and quality of any mass produced car that I have ever seen.

Hugely underated and a force to be reckoned with IMHO.

Thanks again for the fabulous pictures.

All the best

Each his own ree. I think there are more than a few who agree with you on that. ;)

Thanks for the photos! :usa7uh:

Probably the best looking LS ever, but it still has nothing on the class leaders...A8 and S-Class in the looks department.

Forget the IS-F, this is what Lexus is all about! :usa7uh:

I love white cars!

BTW, the interior is the only thing that annoys me, specifically the air vents: they're too high up and ruin the design IMO. I'll point out what I mean with a photoshop later sometime.
This imo is the ultimate luxury car, I love that car especially in all white.:t-cheers:
