Never really liked this one (the pic you posted). I think they toned it down too much and made it look softer. The '94 LS looked aggressive and "typical Japanese executive car", a style which I like and admire.

No offense, but the LS430 was just ugly as sin.

It's good to see that the current LS is somewhat of an evolution of the original LS. I think I'd still pick the older Lexus LS based on looks alone over the new one. I remember when that car came out, I thought to myself "Man, that looks kind of cool!".

Mind you, that was the Face Lifted 2004 version.

As you can see Lexus redesigned the headlamps to sharpen the front end. Aside from that, new front aero dam and centre grill. Good improvement

Definitely an improvement, but then the side profile doesn't match the front and the rear profile looks bland as hell. The LS430 was definitely the ugliest LS ever.

One of my major complaint about the 03 LS was that you couldn't tell the front from the rear

Yep. It's kind of growing on me now, but I always thought they were kind of bloated and boring looking.

Lexus got real close to making a truly great looking car, but alas the LS still falls short of an S-Class or A8, but there is still an undeniable presence to this car.
