S-Class W126 Koenig Mercedes-Benz W126 SEC

The Mercedes-Benz W126 is a series of passenger cars made by Daimler-Benz AG. It was marketed as the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and manufactured in sedan/saloon (1979–1991) as well as coupé (1981–1990) models, succeeding the company's W116 range. Mercedes-Benz introduced the 2-door C126 coupé model, marketed as the SEC, in September 1981. This generation was the first S-Class to have separate chassis codes for standard and long wheelbases (W126 and V126) and for coupé (C126).

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

Yeah, the 560 SEC is a great looking car and this looks great. Lots of information on it too, karma given :usa7uh:

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

Thank you! I love this car, I hope to find more photos!:D

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

Wow, It looks fantastic!

I really need to study these older Mercs, I guess I'm too young to keep track of them just like that.

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

Don't tell me this kit is still available... I hated it when I first saw it in the 80's, and my feelings haven't changed. IMO Koenig is one of the worst tuners when it comes to bodykits.

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

...but the engine is awesome! You have to admit it! :)

There, fixed the title for you (W126, not W216). :usa7uh:

I love these old C126 coupes for their simple elegance and quality. My favorite old-school Benz coupes are the C107 SLC's though.

BTW, I read in Mercedes Enthusiast magazine that Sylvester Stalone at one point owned two white wide body AMG SEC's.

The C107 was a great car. I love those old-school Mercedez-Benz wheels in the pic!

The Koenig Benzes were over-the-top and definitely not my taste. If I want a Benz with a bodykit, which I don't, I'd look at the AMG Hammers.

Interesting body kit. Certain aspects in that black color look menacing :usa7uh:

However that back and the sides look a little over-the-top. You can't deny that 440hp in the SEC is simply awesome though.

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

The Sultan of Brunei had (at least) one with gullwing doors.

actualy im sure what you are talking about is a SGS car... or styling garage, as they were known...

i just love the old coups... the 560 sec was in my view the best car to come from them germany... other than the G wagon..:D

Re: Koenig Mercedes-Benz W216 SEC

definetly a nice car, but i prefer the AMG widebody c126 over the Koenig kits. cannot deny that its styling is very much eighties :2cool:

I do like the body kit thou IMO a little over the top. Mercedes was always about subtlety and class were as this car looks more like a bmw from the rear than a merc.
