Particularly these two shots are making me increasingly optimistic about this car.

Oh it’s gonna be a smoking hott car for sure. It won’t sell much, but good looking I’m sure of it. I hope they saw the market in time to add a V8 or I6 version.

The shape and design are too alluring for image to not leak before unveil.

My suspicion as well.

Perhaps a crazy notion on my part-but this could be the sort of automobile that really appeals to potential customers who lament the absence of an electric BMW 8 series sort of i8 Gran Coupe. And an i8 GC will be something elusive until well after 2030, it seems.

Audi don’t have an EV equivalent for the A8, the EQS is being discontinued and there isn’t an EV Bentley or rolls Royce saloon. So there is a bit of an opportunity for car to occupy limelight compared with if the car was an SUV.

This looks really good. But one model won’t help this brand

Originally planned are an "über-luxurious" RR Ghost rivalling 3-Box electric sedan as well as an elevated ride height electric Sport Activity Crossover. Of course, much has changed and keeps changing since. It will be of absolute essence to wait and see how their first electric vehicle fares in terms of consumer response.

This...to me, is the "money shot". The proportions of the silhouette are as close to ideal as can be IMHO.
Here's to hoping that the responsible designers have gotten the details right.

The front end with slimmish horizontal headlights gives me Rover SD1 vibes, but in XL from. The rear and profile also have a glimpse of Rover in them although the Jaguar looks more saloon than hatch.

Richard Porter had a ride along in the car and saw the final car, summary of the car:
1. It looks remarkably by the concept, with no rear window and with 4 doors, It looks very much like a dramatic concept car. Some details are better than the concept car and extremely low roof line, 23 Inch wheels.
2. Very refined ride but also very fast.
3. The inspiration of the driving dynamics is from the Jaguar XJC from the ‘70s.
4. It has about 1000hp, but the power is not overwhelming, made for refinement/comfort.
5. Lead designer is the same one for LR Discovery 3.
6. The second car from Jaguar has already been locked in terms of design/performance targets, but not mentioned what it is (think it might be a SUV or larger Sedan?).

Richard seems like he has a really positive view on the car which is great because he’s a self pronounced Jag/British car nerd.
