F-Type Jaguar F-Type RS

The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a series of two-door, two-seater sports cars manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque from 2013 to 2024. The car's JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the E-Type.

Jaguar F-Type RS Spotted at the Ring with Huge Snowplough Splitter

The first thing that struck you when looking at the previously posted photos of the Jaguar F-Type RS or R-S was the car’s huge chin – its protruding front splitter. Obviously serving an important aerodynamic purpose, it wasn’t a mule/prototype bolt-on bit because now the same car has resurfaced unchanged.
This time, though, we can show it to you in motion, courtesy of the video posted below, uploaded by Touriclips. Powered by the same V8 as the regular F-Type R but pumped up to close to 600 hp, from the regular R’s 542 hp output.

It’s funny how this is the only way they currently understand to make the F-Type a faster and even more unique sports car: giving it all kinds of bodywork extensions and a dollop more power, instead of (why not) trying to work something out of the six-cylinder versions too.

It’s like they’re doing all they can to have everybody buy a V8 F-Type and ignore the purer six-pot versions which are more suitable for more people. Why not have a special version based on the F-Type S, for instance? Something along these (rumored) lines.

A lot of cars it's been put up against have been quicker yet it's the F-Type claiming the win. Do you think there might take more to beating the Jag than purely pace.;)
Example? I thought EVO preferred the M4 over the F-Type and some other German magazine rate the Boxter above it too.

I'm talking about the Coupe not the Roadster. It's been put up against the 991 Turbo and took the win plus there's another comparison with this very Porsche, the R8v10 and GTR and it's won again. Maybe this was one and the same test and it was just how it was reported but the Jag got the vote despite being slower.

I'm hanging on for the still secret, skunk works, Engineered to Order, er, that's history, Special Vehicles Operations, Is it Wednesday Again?, Adrian Hallmark needs another F***ing Press Release To Try To Flog This Turkey, Absolutely Last - Promise - Definitive version of the Fabulous, Stunning F-type, the new F-type A-RS-E.

Who said said speed would be the only thing going here? There is no way a Jaguar is better than the Germans. Sure they look and drive great, but the car itself, electronics, durability all the other things lack badly from what I've seen of Jaguars.

^I will repeat what I always say that from my own personal experience both of my JLR products have been super reliable.
