I hope they improve the multi tasking on iOS and introduce a more convenient way of closing background apps (like ICS). While the Retina display sounds great it does seem some what pointless at the moment as there are no sources available atm to stream HD content greater than 720p (unless the iStore is planning to offer 1080p rentals). Hopefully this will get sites like Netflix and Hulu to start streaming content in higher resolution.
I am itching to get an Asus Transformer prime right now. It seems to be the tablet to beat atm. ICS seems so much more refined, Android Market seems far improved from my first galaxy experience and I love the keyboard dock. I am just holding on to see what Apple offers with the iPad 3
Youtube offers HD streaming and many TV shows and programs can be streamed in HD. There are plenty of HD sources online so the opportunities to enjoy a retina screen will be plenty.
The minute Apple announce that there will be an event on the 7th of March, my iPad 2 will go up for sale for £350 meaning that I will have owned the latest iPad for a mere £50. Then I will add another £50 and buy the iPad 3, and off course repeat the cycle every year.
Quad Core isn't necessary if they can beef up the A5 to deliver more graphics and power without compromising the awesome battery life. I agree that iOS is starting to look a bit dull and dated but the unbeatable basket of apps more than makes up for it. Racing Games are an absolute joy and I look forward to graphics getting even better. I've enjoyed it to the degree that I've even called off buying a new computer. The Transformer Prime is a cool device but the apps are simply not there to take full advantage of the device. The last thing you want to do is spend money on an additional device that's only good enough for couch browsing and not much else.
Honestly, 350 for a used iPad is a bit overpriced...

So.....iPad 2S then.
The as yet unnamed Exynos parts will come in dual- and quad-core configurations running at up to 1.5GHz. Perhaps the most important change though, is the switch from a 45nm manufacturing process to 32nm. That means smaller parts that draw less power, while delivering better performance. The A9 cores are paired with Sammy's own GPU, an OpenGL ES 2.0-capable chip with four pixel processors. According to the company, the new CPUs deliver a 26 percent boost in performance and up to a 50 percent increase in battery life.
Will Apple ever release an iPad that comes with a stylus where one can actually "write" on it? I have a feeling they may be very reluctant to do that, especially with the fiasco they had ages ago with the Newton. I would love a tablet where I would be able reliably do that though.
My iPad 2 still feels pretty new.
I'm going to buy the 3, just not straight away like I did wih the 2
And what I want most is a Retina-like screen. Better resolution. I don't really know what else, besides a better camera and faster CPU...
