I have to agree with Justme here. The GS is too soccer mom while the M45 is really performance oriented. I dont like the tail lights of the M but the car is better looking than the bubbly looking GS.

Well, as Snake said, we folks in Australia don't get Infiniti, so I can't say i've seen both in the metal. I've seen the GS, and it's a very nice looking indeed. May be a little 'fat' looking because of its overall side profile, but nicely done.

..from the pictures the M45 looks good from the front, but the rear is just terrible, espcially the lights.
So my vote goes to the GS on this one.

GS for me...a superb car in most respects.

The infiniti just looks too much like a Maxima with lots of bling bling.

Japenese cars? NEVER. I really wish I could like them though, as they are some of the best cars for the money in any class, in terms of value and reliability, but in terms of handling, performance, and design... I'll forever go German.

They both fail to excite me any more than a toaster or maybe some other domestic appliance. Our neighbor has a 750iL and a LS430 and it amazes me that someone can own both cars simultaneously. Obviously they buy for status, not for the driving experience.
