Using the B58 and ZF makes sense but the bmw gear selector is an eye sore.
If you are serious about off-roading you start with a Suzuki Jimny.^ Agree with you both, that gear selector lever is actually a bit of an eyesore because it's so incongruous with the rest of the bespoke switch gear in both cars.
As for the Grenadier - I'm completely over it, cool piece of kit that it may be. There's only one reason why you'd by a Grenadier: because you're serious about off-roading.
And, if you're serious about off-roading, then you may as well just buy the base model LC 300.

It’s available to buy at list price or used below list which is great. Well done to Ineos for bringing it to market and delivering units compared with other automotive start-ups.I am guessing it probably drives alot better than the original Defender. The interior does look quite special. I really do like it very much, its grown on me.
