Its cabin in this segment is one of the best, the most original for sure.

^ Agree with you both, that gear selector lever is actually a bit of an eyesore because it's so incongruous with the rest of the bespoke switch gear in both cars.
As for the Grenadier - I'm completely over it, cool piece of kit that it may be. There's only one reason why you'd by a Grenadier: because you're serious about off-roading.
And, if you're serious about off-roading, then you may as well just buy the base model LC 300.

Worst of all is that they choose(were offered) the G12 gear selector. It looks corporate and is the size of a lion's penis. The Supra at least, has a smaller gear selector. A Sport F30 gear selector with a matte finish or imitation carbon fiber would have been more discrete.

If you are serious about off-roading you start with a Suzuki Jimny.

I understand that the Grenadier is a rich man's toy. A very capable rich man's toy.

Too small and underpowered to be a true expedition-grade off-roader - it's very limited in its ability to carry extra fuel, equipment and tyres. Not to mention it's strictly a two-seater once you've packed in the bare essentials.

It's safe to say that we have quite a different view on what off-roading actually means for each one.

What I call off-roading should sound like a joke to you, but that's what we've got here :D

Lately, I've been borrowing a colleague's RAV-4 when I do need to go somewhere off-tarmac and it's perfectly adequate, for my needs. In my earlier days as a site engineer, I used to run a Suzuki Samurai, 1.0l N/A and while life went on in slow motion it was more than enough for my then off-road needs.

I think I like it. I saw a truckload of them today heading to the dealer. They may have a hit on their hands.

It certainly has its fans. I see one every now and then. If you aren't a car enthusiast you would think it's a 20 year old car.

A good choice if you want functionality and retro design but dislike the ostentatious gclass and defender.

I am guessing it probably drives alot better than the original Defender. The interior does look quite special. I really do like it very much, its grown on me.

It’s available to buy at list price or used below list which is great. Well done to Ineos for bringing it to market and delivering units compared with other automotive start-ups.
