Ideal Weight Balance?

Re: Audi A5 Official Pictures

the test you were reffering to had nothing to with weight distriubtion. the problem were something completly else. thats all Im saying.

Andreas if you believe that i 'm trying to bash BMW you are wrong. I 'm just saying that everything in life has it's possitive and negative aspects. Same goes for 50:50 , 60:40 or 40:60 weight distributions. All have their positives and negatives.;)

BTW if someone wants an Audi with nearly 50:50 weight distribution he can get a Q7 or an R8 with 44:56 weight distribution.:D

I thought the R8 had a 49:51 weight distribution..

Re: Audi A5 Official Pictures

Ideal for what? For the average driver aq slight forward bias is better cause it makes the car easier to drive and more predictable under pressure. Also a car that has 50:50 weight distribution when loaded with people and langage becomes rear biased which can serously affect the handling.
For example the 5 series had trouble passing the moose test when fully loaded:

Ideal for performance driving. For dodling along the streets, it doesn't matter *** the weight bias is. Ever wondered why Audi is spending millions to develop the new clutch and transmission to give a better weight distribution.
